Services
While working full time for non-profit agencies, I began a part time private practice in 1997.

Shortly after, as Coordinator of the Anxiety Treatment Center at St. Clare's Behavioral Health I acquired extensive training and experience helping people regain the lives they want to live by effectively managing Anxiety Based Disorders, including Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Specific Phobias, Illness Anxiety, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder in Children, Adolescents & Adults.
Individual therapy can take many forms. I tailor my approach to best suit each individual. For adolescents and adults, I focus first on providing a safe, non-judgmental environment and a thorough assessment of the issues that bring you to my office. These initial sessions provide the foundation for our work together.
Anxiety is an important part of our makeup as humans. It helps us get out of harm's way, prepare for critical events, and it warns us when we need to take action to protect ourselves, or those we love. Anxiety that is persistent, seemingly uncontrollable, and overwhelming falls into a different category.
The general public may say they are depressed in a casual manner. For those who suffer with severe clinical depression, the experience can have devastating effects on them and those close to them. Significant changes in appetite and weight, either losing or gaining in a short period of time.

Untreated clinical depression can lead to complications such as drug or alcohol addiction, poor performance at work or in school, social isolation, diminished physical health and fractured personal relationships.Post-Partum, and Seasonal Affective Disorder also fall within the spectrum of Clinical Depression.
As a certified clinical supervisor, Nina has provided supervision in various hospital and non-profit settings throughout her career, as well as in her private practice. She currently supervises LSWs, who are working to obtain their clinical license, as well as LCSWs, seeking to improve their skills, gain expertise in client engagement and retention, therapeutic approaches and successfully managing the most challenging cases.
