Paragon Solar
Paragon Solar was created in 2013 for solar enthusiasts, "Do-it-yourselfers", and solar companies alike. Our goal is to make solar an enjoyable experience by setting high quality standards, and sharing all that we have learned so that others may do the same. We offer planning, design, performance verification, repair, advanced troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance services for residential, commercial, and public sector systems.

Online we provide tools, articles, training, and forums as a resource for everybody with an interest in solar. In addition, we created an approved contractor network for any services we may not provide directly. Whatever the scope of your project, from small to large, we would love to simplify things for you with our experience and professional expertise!
Services
Paragon Solar is not an ordinary solar company, we believe there is always an intelligent solution. Your project is our challenge. For existing systems we provide our performance verification service to verify that the system is operating as it should be and producing what the installer promised. We also offer repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and O&M services.
We provide full PV system plan-sets for businesses needing to contract system design work as well as Do-it-yourselfers simply looking for permit and construction drawings. Our design work reflects our experience from the hundreds of systems we have designed and installed. We will ensure the design meets current NEC codes as well as any local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements.
Has your inverter stopped working and started flashing error codes? Original installer out of business or unwilling to make the repair? We have you covered! Paragon Solar specializes in servicing, maintaining, and repairing most grid-interactive string, micro, and central inverters. All service calls now include a checkup on the health of the entire system while we are on site.
We have found micro-inverters that have failed for various reasons from lightning and rodent damage (squirrels LOVE micro-inverter cables!), to installation mistakes and outdated software, just to name a few. Whatever the reason your micro-inverter is giving you grief, we can help! One benefit to micro-inverters is the module level monitoring.
Solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M) is a sub-function of Asset Management. For medium to large scale systems, O&M is often overlooked, yet one of the most important set of activities to enable the solar generation facility to perform at its full potential, meet expectations, and reduce exposure for asset owners and investors.

I had a solar inverter installed by a different solar company. After the installation, the power output was about 30% less than before. I called the installer. A guy came out, said he’d get back to me, and I never heard from him again. I then called Scott at Paragon. He responded immediately. Turns out the inverter was installed incorrectly. He fixed it and followed up to make sure it was working properly. The price charged was more than fair. I highly recommend Scott and Paragon Solar.

Paragon Solar has worked with me for the past several years to maintain an existing system. The first time they determined that squirrels had chewed all my wires so they replaced all the leads from the panels and installed a critter guard fencing system to prevent the situation from reoccurring. Recently, they replaced my 12 year old inverter which had failed. Scott has always been responsive and willing to take the time to discuss the issues and the reasons for his recommendations. He has delivered what he has promised.

Dealing with Paragon Solar has been excellent. It's a relief to find a business that you can rely on to provide such great service.
Scott Carman came to our rescue twice when our Fronius inverter failed. He was helpful in diagnosing the problem, dealing with the manufacturer and warranty, and doing the removal and install of replacement equipment. He has a very deep understanding of solar equipment and arrays. I would recommend Mr. Carman and Paragon Solar without any reservation. 5 stars and 10 if there's room!

After trying to work with another local solar company and giving up in frustration, I gave Paragon a call to repair squirrel damage to our array and install "critter guard" around our panels. Scott and his crew were prompt, professional, and quickly solved challenges that had the other company stumped. Paragon will be my first call for solar system maintenance from now on!

Great local company! My roof suffered major hail damage recently, and I needed someone to remove and replace the whole system. Of course my insurance company drastically underestimated what this would cost. So every quote I received was 3-4 times higher than their estimate. Although, I mostly agreed some of the prices seemed outrageous. Scott and Paragon came highly recommended from my father, I just wish I had known about them before I even bothered calling any of the other companies to begin with. Scott gave me an affordable estimate, (which the insurance company was willing to pay for

From the day my system was installed some 18 years ago I have been searching for someone who understands the magic of lead acid batteries and Scott is the first. He is patient, thoughtful and reasonable which makes the whole process much easier than ever before. I wish I had run into him many years ago!
