Welcome to Valor Brazilian Jiu Jitsu located at 1911 HWY 87, Navarre Florida. The only academy of its kind here in Navarre that offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which is the most efficient martial art style proven to date. It has been perfected and passed down by the legendary Gracie Family. In Japanese, Jiu-Jitsu's translation means the "gentle art".
The principle is to use leverage and proper technique so that even the smallest, weakest person can defend them self against a larger and stronger assailant. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a workout unlike any other and it needs to be experienced to be believed. After just a few weeks of training, you are going to find yourself losing weight and gaining lean muscle as you increase your stamina, endurance, flexibility and strength.

Services
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes at Valor BJJ are broken into two separate class sessions and classes are offered both with and without the GI. Drill Class: Drill class is for students of all levels, but is geared towards the basic and fundamental techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
During this class there is no live sparring and the time is spent both learning new techniques to add to your game, and sharpening the fundamental movements and skills required to be a successful BJJ practitioner.The second session is Advanced Class.

My daughter has been coming to Valor for over a year now and in that time, I've seen her grow into a strong, confident, and wonderful young lady. I'm so grateful that we have this in our community. With the training she has received, I have seen her thrive and learn how to protect herself as well as learn respect; respect for not only her teammates and coaches, but respect for herself which is huge!
She has learned skills that will go with her into the future.

My experience with this school has been amazing. Professor Thurman is not only a master at his craft, he is very humble. I have been a member of the Valor family for close to 6 months now and I know that I made the right decision to join. The school is very family oriented with fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters attending Valor or even in the same class. After being here I have learned that the family that rolls together stays together. Followed by that is not the family to mess with.
Professor Thurman's teaching ability is top notch and all of the members have pushed me to grow and improve

Coach Tim is wonderfully patient with his students, and he cares deeply about his students' respective students. Through training with them, and working very closely with them on both technique and implementation. After over a year there I can confidently say that I thoroughly enjoy him, and the rest of his team. Coach sets an example for both honor, and integrity.

So I've trained here for two years and can't be happier. The instructions as well as my team mates are phenomenal. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. We are a family and welcome everyone from beginners to highly competitive competitors. No toxic egos whatsoever and professor Thurman strives to be as inclusive as possible to all students.

Can't say enough good things about this school. Family like environment, everyone is very supportive and helpful. Great way to exercise (get in shape) and learn self-defense. Professor Tim Thurman is a great instructor & man! If you're on the fence about trying jiu jitsu, just give it a try, you've got nothing to lose. You will get bit by the jiu jitsu bug as we all do :)

I came to this gym looking for a authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experience. As soon as I walked into the dojo, you could literally feel the authenticity in the room! Tim is great and provides encouragement to everyone. The knowledge that I received in this one lesson will have me coming back for more!
