The people are nice but it took an hour and :30 minutes to get a checking and savings opened. No one really had a clue. And not being able to pole out a large sum of money on the weekends because no one is working just won't cut it for me, it feels like I can't get my own money. I could go on but I think I got my point across.

This review is due to the change in policy regarding their checking accounts as another has mentioned. They now charge you $25 a month for an inactive account. It doesn't matter if you have checks coming and going, have direct deposit or use your debit card 9 times. If you don't use it at least ten times or keep $175 in your account, you will be charged $25 a month for an "inactive account". But, the biggest reason is, I withdrew some money and she counted out the amount I asked for but when I looked at my account online they had taken out $500 more than I asked for and

A bunch of thieves. I started this account with Northwest Ga credit Union. When Coosa Valley took over, they started stealing my money for inactive fees even though I was depositing money. I have lost emergency savings through them, and they will not refund the fees. Stay away if you value your cash!

Well, now they are charging 25.00 per account if it qualifies for what they determine to be an inactive account. I use this account every month. It's not my primary account but money goes in and out.
Note to the board of directors. You better wake up. You may be getting lots of fees up front but when people pull out of the credit union you want have any fees to get.
Then when fewer people come in there will be no need for employees. You ladies and guys may need to start looking today.
All the reviews before mine are accurate for the people reading about CVCU.
One last thought, this

I never had problems until Coosa bought out my former credit union. Now I've had nearly $100 in tax penalties because this credit union can't decide if my account number starts with 3 additional digits or not. Why I would have to use one acct number for a checking account and a different number for the exact same account when I pay a bill online through ACH is beyond me and something that NO OTHER bank does. But regardless, my tax payments were rejected no matter which account number I used because each time Coosa Valley told the tax office that my account does not exist, despite me
