Services
Welcome to Coosa Valley Credit Union! "We Care" and "We Treat You Like Family" are two core values that differentiate us from banks and other financial institutions. Here we still do business like neighbors helping neighbors, an old fashioned approach that combines modern technologies and the warm professional service you deserve.
Making loan payments should be simple. Coosa Valley Credit Union offers you a fast and easy way to make your loan payments online using your own account or accounts from other financial institutions. Option 1: Transfer funds in Online Banking from a deposit account at the credit union to your loan.
Getting your next auto loan from Coosa Valley Credit Union has never been easier. You can ask for Coosa Valley financing right at the dealership or bring it to any of our convenient branch locations. Whether you're shopping for a new or used vehicle, or refinancing a current auto loan, you'll get a great rate from CVCU.
Whether you're a first-time homeowner, one who's looking to refinance an existing loan or looking to make home improvements, we've got you covered. We offer several types of First Mortgages and Home Equity Lines of Credit with the personal service that members know and trust. We partner with Member First Mortgage (MFM), a credit union owned mortgage lender, to process, close and fund mortgage loans more quickly and efficiently.
A personal loan can help you consolidate other loans or credit card debt, pay for a dream vacation, fund a home improvement project, or pretty much anything you dream up! Our no hassle personal loans offer quick approval decisions and often provide funds the same day you apply. Actual annual percentage rate may be higher depending on applicant's creditworthiness and other factors.

I don't usually leave a review, but with Coosa Valley Credit Union I want to leave a review. They are very courteous and very professional. I would have left 5 stars but they could really use more Customer Service reps. for faster service.

Very quick and painless process setting up an account.
I've never been part of a credit union before, but Laurie explained the pros and cons clearly and made my decision an easy one.

The people are nice but it took an hour and :30 minutes to get a checking and savings opened. No one really had a clue. And not being able to pole out a large sum of money on the weekends because no one is working just won't cut it for me, it feels like I can't get my own money. I could go on but I think I got my point across.

This review is due to the change in policy regarding their checking accounts as another has mentioned. They now charge you $25 a month for an inactive account. It doesn't matter if you have checks coming and going, have direct deposit or use your debit card 9 times. If you don't use it at least ten times or keep $175 in your account, you will be charged $25 a month for an "inactive account". But, the biggest reason is, I withdrew some money and she counted out the amount I asked for but when I looked at my account online they had taken out $500 more than I asked for and

A bunch of thieves. I started this account with Northwest Ga credit Union. When Coosa Valley took over, they started stealing my money for inactive fees even though I was depositing money. I have lost emergency savings through them, and they will not refund the fees. Stay away if you value your cash!

Well, now they are charging 25.00 per account if it qualifies for what they determine to be an inactive account. I use this account every month. It's not my primary account but money goes in and out.
Note to the board of directors. You better wake up. You may be getting lots of fees up front but when people pull out of the credit union you want have any fees to get.
Then when fewer people come in there will be no need for employees. You ladies and guys may need to start looking today.
All the reviews before mine are accurate for the people reading about CVCU.
One last thought, this

Customer service is difficult. Not the same since it changed. Seems like no one wants to help you. You would think being a LOCAL credit union they would be more willing to help the people of their community. Plan on changing.

I never had problems until Coosa bought out my former credit union. Now I've had nearly $100 in tax penalties because this credit union can't decide if my account number starts with 3 additional digits or not. Why I would have to use one acct number for a checking account and a different number for the exact same account when I pay a bill online through ACH is beyond me and something that NO OTHER bank does. But regardless, my tax payments were rejected no matter which account number I used because each time Coosa Valley told the tax office that my account does not exist, despite me

I loved Northwest Georgia Credit Union for over 10 years. The new bank they have merged into takes money from you using "hidden fees" with no justification. As of last week they have stolen $70 from me and no one has tried to do anything to refund me. I have spoken to 3 people without any success

Terrible customer service from the loan department. The loan officers do not even know or understand how their own website operates. I was given the run around and all I wanted to do was make a payment on my car loan and have it noted on my account today.
Terrible!
