We are one of pa's leading fishing camps. We are located at the mouth of the juniata river, where it joins the susquehanna, in the heart of some of the best smallmouth bass fishing around. Both rivers, long known for exceptional bass fishing---are one big spawning bed in this area. It is a maze of ledges, rocks, patches and bars.
With rather fast water over a shallow bottom. Boating is limited due to shallow depth and no distinct channels, but small boats or canoes will let you do a fine job of working these rivers. Spring and fall, when not frozen over, we have a lot of large fish. As the water warms up, the numbers increase and the size goes down.

Services
The PFBC's mission of Resource First requires us to step up our efforts to help our smallmouth fishery before it's too late. This is why the PFBC has launched the "Save Our Susquehanna!" or S.O.S. campaign to generate support for the Susquehanna River. What can you do to help? Whether you are an angler or not, buy a fishing license.
The only time restriction you are under is the fact that all our rental boats must be off the water "BEFORE SUNSET". This is a rule of the PA state Fishing Commission. We can usually put you on the water at an access that will give you the amount of fishing time you wish, based on the amount of mileage covered.
The camp is run mainly to accommodate fishermen. We have no playground, video games, entertainment, or the more common things found in a tourist camp. We do have ice, cold sodas, snacks and a very good supply of live bait, tackle, boats, canoes, transportation, shuttle service and most anything you can think of to make your camping & fishing more enjoyable.
Thanks for visiting. Please leave a comment about our Campground. I camped here several years ago with a now Late friend and loved it I'll be up by myself in 2015. I love this camp been to others but none compare it's always beautiful, peaceful and quite! P.S. Caught lots of fish too!
Many thanks to John Conningham for the shuttle ride to Clemson Island last Thrusday, secure parking for the weekend, and restocking us with Penrod Special Tubes and Jig Heads. He set up our 8th annual Susquehanna River fishing camp (3 Adults+4 boys) on one of the Island Campsites just above Haldamen Island and caught well over 250 Bass with many over 2 pounds and some over 3.

This place was absolutely horrifying. If I could give no stars I would.
To start off, the bathrooms are so gross. It is made of a run down building with a makeshift wall separating the mens and womens. You could see over the wall if you were to stand on the toilet. The toilets look like they are never cleaned and smell awful. The door for the toilet is a half hung curtain with some sort of bodily fluid on it. The water for the sink doesn't stay on unless you hold the handle, and it shoots water at you. Someone has set up camp in the bathroom with all their personal home amenities as well. If I

My first time to Riverfront Campground and I had a excellent time. I look forward to making several return visits and really hope that John can hook me up with the site I had on this visit. Perfect for what I went to do, relax with friends and fish till whenever. If you like the outdoors, water and fishing , I recommend this place.

Beware the bugs! They are particularly bad at night. Mostly mayflies which are harmless just annoying but travel by the billions.
Aside from that in the daytime the bugs were not a problem at all! The view is incredible especially if your right on the water. Overall a great camping spot.
They do have public showers and restrooms which is a plus. But they don't even deserve a 1 star review. Just a shower curtain for privacy in your stall and you better bring shoes for the shower. Hot water works fine and water seemed clean but bathroom was nasty.
