Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people better cope in daily life or in stressful situations. The goal of psychotherapy is varied however it may help to resolve conflict, relieve anxiety or stress, identify interpersonal conflict, cope with major life changes, manage unhealthy reactions, process trauma/abuse/neglect, and/or foster insight into how past events/experiences may shape your future relationships.
Vivitrol (naltrexone) is a non addictive medication that blocks the effects of opioid medication, including pain relief or feelings of well-being that can lead to opioid abuse. It is commonly used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to address opioid use disorders. Unlike Suboxone (buprenorphine) and methadone, Vivitrol is not an opioid agonist/partial agonist (opioid like medication), which does not cause physiologic tolerance.
