William J. Heringer, M.D., a specialist in Internal Medicine, has been providing care to patients in the Santa Ynez Valley since 1982. Dr. Heringer was born and raised in Kentucky. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he played football and rugby. He graduated cum laude with a BA in Psychology in 1971 and was named LMU's Crimson Circle Man of the Year.

My staff and I will continue to work from the office, though we have been, and will continue to, limit/cease in-person office visits. As you have likely heard, the government is now allowing us to use telehealth, meaning we can do phone and video appointments with you if needed. Many people are under the impression that you can only get this virus, or will only be affected, if you are "elderly" or have underlying health conditions.

He's been my 90 year old mom's primary doc. When I take her to him, he rushes her like I've never seen a doc rush anyone. He rushes me too when I speak up. And I don't have dementia. His manner suggests he doesn't listen or give importance to what Mom or I say. When she began showing OBVIOUS signs of dementia and he hadn't referred her to a neurologist, a doc that treats dementia. When I pointed out the signs to him, he said she was fine. No surprise given the rush job, the not listening and unwillingness to attribute importance. He didn't make the referral
