At our funeral home, we understand the importance of family. We believe in treating your family as we would our own. To do that, it's best you know a little about us first - please explore this section so that you may learn about our caring staff, our beautiful facilities, and our history of service.
We stand behind our reputation and will continue to serve our community with the values instilled by our funeral directors. Less cost so the money saved can be put to other uses such as bequests to children or perhaps a favorite charity. So, members are entitled to the membership service charge; this will always be lower than the non-member charge.
A loved one's passing often leaves us feeling adrift. While most elect to hold some type of memorial service, the breadth of options available can be overwhelming. We want to make it easier. We are here to help you create a service that befits the life of your loved one. This section contains useful information about Cremation options, what to do when death occurs, information on writing an obituary, and recommended funeral/memorial etiquette.
Whether a death is sudden or expected, the loss of a loved one is indescribable. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering. This section seeks to guide you through the immediate hours following a passing. If the person was not under hospice care, the police will have to be notified immediately.
This signed cremation authorization must accompany the decedent's remains to the crematory together with the cremation permit approved by the county medical examiner. Pacemakers, other electronic devises, prosthesis, silicone and radioactive implants must be removed prior to delivery of the decedent to the crematory.

The kindness and care that we experienced with the loss of my mother and father was beyond our expectations. We lost our mom in 2006 and our father in 2021, and yet in both scenarios they took the time to contact us during the process to let us know what was going on and when it came to picking our parents up, the same kindness and care was in person. They answered all of our questions that we had. Gave us time to grieve in their offices. And allowed us ample time to pick out our urns as they made the transfer of remains to each one. I turned to the Cremation Society of Michigan when my dad passed 2 1/2 years ago and just last month when I lost my mother. Their expertise, professionalism, and heartfelt kindness and caring helped me get through these most tragic and painful times in my life. Both times, I was not prepared and was in agony. I purchased the membership for my husband and myself and paid in full for our Cremeation and it took a month for the contacts to get here and there was nothing showing where are ashes will go or what urn we had chosen when I called she said it’s in there files but I have no copy of anything. I want to keep my desires in my files for my family. They lady said when she has time my family will get something we’ll she doesn’t know who my gamy is and I could die today and no one would have any idea what I wanted and the cemetery I want my ashes to go that I paid for too is that standard practice

My father went to Heaven 11 years ago my mom came back to Michigan to live with my husband and I, my mom and dad had decided years ago they wanted to be cremated because they knew it was ok with God and they did,nt want to put us kids through the anguish of paying for and planning a funeral and they hated the cost people have to deal with during the worst time of their lives. Best things we ever did. My parents pre paid for their cremations through the Cremation Society of Michigan and it made things so much easier for us when they passed. My husband and I decided to to do the same thing. I recently lost my husband and the Cremation Society took care of everything at a extremely difficult time. They even called me after a few weeks to see how I was doing. I would highly recommend using the Cremation Society of Michigan

The Cremation Society has been extremely helpful and comforting during a time that has otherwise been cold and unsympathetic. The team at the society is extremely professional, caring and have really made navigating through these tough waters a much easier task.
