More and more people are choosing to make their own funeral arrangements in advance of their death. In the past many families were left not knowing what the wishes of their family members were. Pre-arranging funeral services not only expresses the wishes of the deceased, but takes away some of the stress that is placed on families when a death occurs.
Q. Can I pre-arrange and pre-pay for this service? A. Yes, you may. All our pre-paid services are deposited in full and placed in a 'Guaranteed Trust' with Comerica bank of Detroit. Included in our Simple Cremation Grouping for $850.00, is the first 25 miles in the *transfer of Remains to the Funeral Home after which there is a one-time charge of $2.50 per mile.

Professional, caring, compassionate. Duzak took care of my father in 2017. I recently lost my mother and left it the care of the wonderful people at Duzak. Mary Ellen sat on the phone with me for a hour and half. We shared stories and I felt so comforted. This was not just a business deal. These people care. I wouldn't trust anybody else for my funeral needs.

We honestly couldn’t have been more pleased with Chris’ services. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Before our loved one’s eventual death Chris was able to cremate his amputated leg as well and hold onto the cremains for us. He even lent us a wooden urn to use at the memorial service because the custom ceramic one that we ordered wasn’t going to be ready for another month. Once again, thanks Chris for everything that you and your family did for us!

It's crazy that life is always fatal. You can only hope that death be neither prolonged nor painful.
That wasn't the case for my aunt who passed from a hit and run. Words cannot express how delicately the Duzak's handled the entire affair. They even went so far as to answer questions for me that I knew were beyond the scope of the job.
Both Chris and his mother always made time for me and got me through this difficult and tragic process.
I live out of state. Somehow, I feel slighted that it wouldn't make sense to plan my own final arrangements there. They have got to be the most competent and

I contacted Duzak Funeral & Cremation Center upon the sudden death of a loved one. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful during this difficult time. They explained everything, set up everything over the phone and when the time came they took care and patience with the family and they took our loved one away. I highly recommend them.

Mary Ellen was great with the initial planning and answering all the questions we had. They are super professional and caring. Chris was absolutely amazing at keeping us informed every step of the way and taking the time to make the situation as simple and streamlined as possible. Together they have made this a bearable situation. I cannot thank them enough for the words of encouragement and kindness. Over all this was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

This is the third time I have used Duzak for family members, beginning with my father in 1983. Most recently my brother passed away in July 2020. Chris Duzak handled the pickup of the body, cremation, and delivery of the remains and death certificates to our family, just as respectfully and efficiently as his father had previously done The website and the ability to print and email or text our completed forms made it even easier to initiate the process, despite my being out of town.
I have recommended them to several friends who have had similar good experiences, especially appreciated at a time

My son, Daniel, passed away in Dearborn, Michigan, on September 10, 2020. I found out by a knock on the door by Virginia State Troopers on September 11, at 3:00 AM. I Googled funeral homes near Taylor, MI, and Duzak caught my attention, as it is a family owned business. I certainly chose the right place, as Mary and her son, Chris, handled every aspect of Daniel's transportation from the ME's office, to the crematory, to even handling the certified death certificates with the upmost dignity and respect. I have nothing but positive things to say about Duzak funeral and cremation. I did not know what to expect in the cremation process of my husband, Chris kept in constant contact to keep me informed of the next steps. They took care of everything, from the cremation, to ordering copies of the death certificates, to delivering the remains to my door step. I would highly recommend, and thank you for everything.
