To bid in person at one of our live auctions you will need to register in person. You will receive a bidder number and an auction catalog for the auction you are attending.
JGM can meet your auction needs, whether you want to sell one item or hold a complete liquidation auction at the site of your business. In addition to our more than 100 offsite auctions each year, we conduct 6 annual heavy equipment auctions at our 10 acre facility in Kenmore, WA. JGM also advertises its heavy equipment auctions in printed and online publications distributed worldwide. JGM's online catalog includes 20 plus up-close pictures of each piece of heavy equipment up for auction.
JGM has been conducting appraisals since 1970. In the last five years alone we have conducted over 800 appraisals with a value in excess of 500 million dollars. We have four primary appraisers on our staff all with at least fifteen years of appraisal experience. Our lead appraisers are also auctioneers.

I've bought from them 3 times I don't want to get in detail of everything however if I could rate them 10stars I would . I had a issue that was resolved that almost no other auction house would do. I won't post what they did because people might try to take advantage however it was beyond exceptional . Thanks Ray and a lady in the office I don't know your name but thank you also!!

I have to give them a minus 5 for rating . We purchased items online from them and they charge us 13 present. When i called t
hem to see if they can palletize our items to get shipped they said they don't do that we are on our own . Very disappointing that for 13 present you get nothing . Worst auction company i have dealt with they take your money and run .

It's entertaining to watch JG Murphy auctions live online. Especially fun when bidders furiously start to outbid each other on taped-over boxed items with this description: "BIG BOX STORE RETURN, IT MAY BE DAMAGED, SCRATCHED, DINGED OR MISSING PIECES" it's amazing how close bidders get to the sale price or actual retail price! Of course, I research the interesting items first before putting them on my "watch" list, and only bid up to the half-price of a new item. Taking into account that the added on premium is currently 13% ... I ponder this issue: are we getting

I had an unfortunate circumstance happen. I bid on a clock at the Captains nautical auction. I won the bid. It was a $400.00 clock that I won for $180.00. I went to pick up the clock, and someone had stole my lot before I got there. I made a phone call to Julie in the office, she said she would see if it showed up, or what can be done. After no one returned the clock. Julie reached out to me and said that the clock was not returned and there wasn't a lot they could do, but she would call me back. She called me back within a few minutes and said they would purchase the clock that I had won at the

I have been here lots of times for auction's this place is very cool to bid on stuff there's so many different things that go up for auction get on the mailing list to know what's going on . Bidding on cars here is sweet trucks ect. This place is very easy to find and there's plenty of parking place's around there to park your car at.

What a total joke trying to use their online bidding. If you use OS, you can't use their online bidding. The UI is terrible and you need to go through all of these ridiculous steps to get it to work, only to find out that if you have OS, toooo bad.
Yeah, like OS is not that popular, right? I would find an auction house that actually knows what they are doing. These people are eliminating a large portion of potential bidders.

As a bidder and an admitted newbie to auctions, they make it really simple and clear to bid and then pickup the stuff. I am especially impressed with the online auctions - very straightforward and clear about what I have bid and it's status.
The most challenging part of the pickup is parking; otherwise, check-in, locate your lot of stuff, load and go.
If there is one thing that would make this place 5-stars would be more photos and more detailed descriptions of the items. Most have 1 photo and a one line description - which isn't always helpful and makes me hesitate to bid more.

I bid on a lot on an online only auction at Gobble Restaurant. Get there to pick it up and most of the items of value have disappeared. They will supposedly gave me part of the bid amount back as compensation, but the real value disappeared and I end up with the junk that was left. There were other lots that I could see had been 'modified' based on the photos. Lack of security or what-I don't know. Don't expect what you'll get to match the photos. I know I was ripped off, and with other auction sites I don't have this problem.

I have been going to auctions since the late eighties and never saw equipment sold cheaply as sold at a auction conducted by James G. Murphy in my behalf. I was told by one of their employees that the auction would provide me a sizable sum. I ended up with less than one quarter of it's value. Some of the machinery sold for less than scrap value.

10% Buyer's premium. I've bought so many things from here. I built my whole restaurant with equipment from here. Where do you think the used restaurant suppliers get their stuff? The police auction with all the unclaimed seized stuff is my favorite. Don't be the first bidder ever in an auction they'll keep dropping the price until somebody makes a bid. Don't get auction fever and pay more than new retail for a used item.
