Our regular classes are designed to meet the needs of our large and varied community. Regardless of your past athletic achievements or current fitness level, you will benefit from the coaching at Performance Fitness. The Workout of the Day- which could be a combination of gymnastics, plyometrics, Olympic lifting, running, and more;.

Post-workout recovery techniques to prepare you for the rest of your day and for your next workout. Simply put, our programming is designed to improve our members' health and performance in the way that is most meaningful for their needs and desires. As everyone walking through our doors has a vast range of personal goals and ability levels, our group coaching program (regular classes) is designed with the flexibility to meet those needs.
Services
If you are interested in training here, please contact us! We would be happy to meet with you to complete a Functional Movement Screen and discuss options to help you reach your health and fitness goals. Everyone starts with the initial FMS (Functional Movement Screen). This evaluation is the first step in learning how we can best assist you.
The first question you need to ask before joining any gym is: how are you qualified to keep me safe? Second, how are you going to help me grow? Our team of trainers has, by far, the most experience and number of certifications of any gym in this area. This translates to safe supervision and technique advice.
With all of the $10 a month Globo Gyms popping up locally, the monthly investment at YorkFit may initially deter you from exploring us further. Please, give us a moment to explain why we accurately claim this as an "investment" rather than a "payment." First, unlike the $10 a month Globo Gym, we actually care if you come.
We do not allow drop-ins to our regular group classes unless you have signed up on our website or spoke to the owner beforehand. These particular classes are held both Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm. We understand that may not be suitable for everyone, we simply urge you to do what you can for these few free sessions to make it work.
In order to get the most out of your Orientation experience, we conduct this in a one on one setting. You will meet with one of our top YorkFit certified coaches for five personal training sessions. This will get your fully prepared for the group classes. You will need to have an initial consult with a staff member and your first session will be booked by Caitlin and then the sessions are coordinated between you and your trainer.

He’s tailored my workouts to my needs, goals and is constantly evaluating my progress and getting feedback. The staff at YorkFit is excellent, and it is definitely not your average Crossfit gym. I have had a lot of experience with multiple gyms in the area, and there really is nothing like it around. The coaches are exceptional - they know the members, and will work with you based on your personal abilities/limitations/goals. It is also the only gym (and certainly the only Crossfit) I have been to that really stresses recovery, and paying attention to your body to ensure you are getting the right balance of stress and active recovery to avoid injury and actually progress. YorkFit has been an outstanding influence on my day-to-day routine. Like many people I have spent the bulk of my time in an office setting. My shoulders were jacked up, my knees and back in constant pain, and terrible sleep quality. In roughly 2 months or so, my systolic blood pressure has dropped 30 points, my shoulders are more mobile, my back does not hurt, I am sleeping better, and I no longer need a cane and knee braces to walk.
The typical class consists of 1 coach and roughly 10 participants. It is as close to personal training as it can be without being one-on-one. The exercise programming

I have been a member of Yorkfit since it opened in November of 2018. I have visited other affiliates in the area as well as around the country and this is, by far, is the cleanest facility with the most knowledgeable staff that I have encountered. The coaches have a variety of specialties and believe in the value of continuing education. 2 months ago I decided to give York fit a shot. It's outstanding. The facility itself is clean, spacious, and the equipment is all brand new. Everyone is friendly and inviting. The trainers are all incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and highly credentialed.
If you have the impression that CrossFit is all about pushing your body beyond the limit all day, every day, you will be pleasantly surprised by York Fit. The programming is extremely thoughtful and laid out in weekly/monthly cycles that help you make real gains...not just burn you out. Everything is scalable, and there are built in recovery

I came to YorkFit searching for a gym that will make me stronger having just started endurance training and racing the last 3 years. I checked out a few places prior to coming to YorkFit and immediately noticed a difference when I walked in the door. First and foremost, Tim and the coaches are just as enthusiastic about your progress as you are, probably even more. They are very concerned about learning proper form and technique prior to adding weight, which was important for me as I have no prior barbell experience. They are also so inclusive, which carries out through the culture of the gym.
