Is therapy right for me? The best way to determine if therapy will be beneficial for you, and if we are the right people to help, is to schedule a session with us so that we can determine goals and fit. The typical psychotherapy client is just looking for help to solve a problem, or for a new perspective, or just support!
Successful psychotherapy requires a strong and trusting relationship between the psychotherapist and you from the start. We will work with you to address your concerns through empathy, understanding, encouragement and support. Family Psychology of East Cobb is an unincorporated association of independent practitioners.
My most significant role as a therapist is to help you, your family, and/or your children create new perceptions, to build self-esteem, and to provide guidance towards growth, insight and gratification. The road may not always be clear or easy to follow but there are sure to be positive nuggets along the way.
My approach to working with children, families, and adults is collaborative; emphasizing goals that will foster personal growth, strengthen communication, and family relationships. I appreciate the universal similarities that make us all humanly connected and value the individual and cultural differences that are unique to each one of us.
It's a good idea to stay calm when this topic becomes media frenzy and not panic. However, it's also a good idea to know the facts about the prevalence of child sexual abuse, and about perpetrators. It is estimated that approximately 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be abused in some form by their 18th birthdays.

Danielle Levy was invaluable to my case of Alienation from my child. She is excellent at reunification therapy and digging deep to uncover history, truths, and false narratives with the individual parents and the child. My case was a very unfortunate one, and I was unheard by many before my attny put Dr levy in place. I believe Danielle did everything she could to ensure my child understood the situation and ensured our therapy didn't commence until we were on a good path of reconciliation and healing. After been through a prior reunification therapist that did not serve us well, Danielle was a

Be careful! Dr. Levy is very biased and one sided. She takes the side of the parent who gets to her first. She will stall custody changes to make the family stay in turmoil, so that the family continues to come to her, which is how she pads her pocket. She unethically participates in dual relationships with one client. Look up APA Code of Ethics 3.05. The children became worse under her "care" and lots of damage has been done to this family - mentally, emotionally and financially - all because of her behavior of picking one parent over the other.

Dr. Danielle Levy is a phenomenal therapist. She is respected nationwide as an expert in her field. She was the clinical director of Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, and a mentor to many successful therapists after her. Thank you for your leadership over a decade ago.

Its honestly the worst, went to therapy as a child, when my mother was abusing me. The therapist, never listened and took everything with a grain of salt, even though i showed her bruises and gave her evidence. (Danielle Levy) is VERY VERY biased, and does not listen!

I do not understand the negative reviews posted here. Danielle was a life savior for me(literally!). She put me back on solid footing and it took 5 years, because you have to be willing to do the work, and you have to accept your own responsibilities. I am a stubborn and private person, and Danielle was so patient, so helpful, and always kind and the best at listening!
