Helpful and straight forward. We went to NW Remedies for a compounded medicine for our fur baby. Our vet had us trying to get it from Phoenix, Arizona, and we are in Olympia, WA. They were able to fill the script. I took another handwritten script from the vet there, one element of the prescription was not available. It turns out that the vet had changed the script and added that element. Now, they cannot get that particular part of the prescription either and have previously filled his prescription.

Two things went wrong when I tried to have my prescriptions filled here for the first time. As a result I'm having my prescriptions transferred to Southgate Drug in Tumwater (they also do compounding). I used to use NW Remedies back when it was Randy's Compounding Pharmacy and it was very good. While the pharmacists seem very nice, the prescription was filled incorrectly even though my doctor took extra care to explain to them how it was to be filled. And their cashier/check out person was extremely rude to me twice. The first time she wouldn't respond when I told her the prescription

"I've wanted to like Northwest Remedies so badly. They're local, I'm a longtime Olympia resident and they're close to my house. But their's only so much a customer can take. On FOUR separate occasions I've been talked down to, dismissed and simply ignored by their staff.
I don't consider myself a challenging customer. All I was seeking was a general recommendation for supplements.
Fortunately I found Super Supplements, Amazon (for supplement needs) and Martin's Southgate to fill my upcoming prescriptions
Save yourself the headache I went through. Hard Pass!!

Let me start by saying I love the attitude of the staff here. I called everywhere today to try to find medicine for my pet's emergency and they were so helpful and pleasant. The lobby had socially distanced seating for waiting and paperwork completion and I was able to run to the emergency vet and pick up my little buddy while they worked on the script. I'm eternally grateful for your kindness and compassion

NW Remedies really took great care of me when my cat got sick and needed meds. The urgency wasn't lost on Kirk who was able to turn around my needed prescription with incredible speed.
His calm, cool demeanor and professionalism helped to calm my nerves- I'd never been to a compound pharmacy before and didn't know what to expect.
The whole experience was top flight and as much as I hope NOT to need medication for myself or my cat in the future, I know exactly where I'll be going to get my Rx's filled if/when needed.

The situation /difficulty with NW Remedies:
We could NOT afford NW Remedies price for Prednisone melts ordered by Vet; Regulators told Veterinarians they could no longer provide meds from their office, so Vet referred us to NW Remedies, directly.
Companion Cat has asthma; reacts very badly to pilling, but the melts WORK, & easy to dose; cat begs for it appropriately as needed, for almost a year. We wanted to get more.
But couldn't:
These were very low cost ($17.+ for 20 melts), for ready-made version direct from Vet, BEFORE this happened. NW Remedies had dramatically higher price

I’ve been extremely frustrated the last few times I’ve come in to refill on my vitamins. I’ve been coming here for over 4 years now & always had a wonderful experience at first. Rosalie is the one who recommended which vitamins that I should take that best fits myself & my lifestyle. So much thanks to NW Remedies. I pill one of my cats each day, but when my other cat needed long term prednisolone for IBD, she refused to be pilled. i tried hiding the pill in freshly cooked high quality meats, within a week the jig was up. Considering the food issues she was already having, I didn't want to turn her off to anything else. Finally I tried having the medication compounded at NW Remedies. We choose the Ocean Fish Flavor and she loves it. She literally wakes me up each morning ready for her treat. Getting her diagnosis was a bummer, trying to force feed her medicine felt

Mostly satisfied with what used to be Randy's compounding pharmacy. Always filled compound prescriptions here now I'm Super annoyed and disappointed that prepayment is required over the phone before prescription can be filled. If I'm not trusted to pay for a prescription with a credit card when picking it up, why would I want to give my credit card information to your counter clerks over the phone. I'm aware of the high cost and have always payed upon picking up prescriptions now I will go across town with my business where I can pay for my prescription when picking it up!

I love this place! I can't really tell you how much but I will try. I have celiac disease, which means even the tiniest amounts of gluten make me super sick. I also have a lot of other sensitivities, including to corn which is often used in medications. To make sure that I am totally safe, I need to have my medications compounded - it is a gluten free facility, and they ask what you want as the filler. You can get it in creams, capsules, tablets, etc. The last time I went to a regular pharmacy I was sick for a week! I never have any negative reactions to the medications compounded here. And
