Award Winning, updated, 1940's-style, Boutique Lodging that captures a quieter and more gracious era. The Captain Cook Inn has 17 very comfortable rooms with memory foam mattress toppers, cable TV, refrigerators and microwaves. All bathrooms are completely tiled with a wonderful shower head and fixtures that have a mid 1900's feel.
The Captain Cook Inn is a fully restored and refurbished motor court. Not too many still exist as motor courts were a style of motel very popular in the 40's and 50's where you park your car directly in front of your room. We like to think of ourselves as a modern throw back because many of our rooms have arched doorways and fully functional individual thermostat controlled radiators.

Lincoln City is located along a 7 1/2 mile stretch along the Oregon Sea Shore approximately 115 miles south of the Washington Border and 190 miles north of the California border and boasts some the most beautiful beaches along the U.S/ Pacific Ocean Shoreline. Lincoln City is only a 2 hour drive Southwest of Portland or about 1 hour due west from Salem, OR.
This is a one of a kind. A non-smoking apartment with a bedroom that has a television, sitting area and two queen size beds. Full size kitchen with eating area, tiled bathroom, and spacious living room. A queen size pull-out sofa in the living area provides sleeping arrangements for six guests and enough space for two roll away beds for a total sleeping space for eight.
Six blocks away are magnificent ocean beaches where you can run, explore tidal pools, build a sand castle, fly a kite and be a kid again. Area hiking trails are magnificent and beautifully maintained. To our delight we discovered a lush meadow with rare protected butterflies when we reached the top of Cascade Head.

Recently stayed at captain cook inn and I gotta say I was surprised!! I was expecting something less to be completely honest we booked our room a week before if not a couple days before our stay through booking.com unfortunately a day before our stay something unexpected came up which led me to call booking.com because our deal was with them and as I spoke to them about my little problem they seem to not really care or try to help at all which was very disappointing!! Since I didn’t want to loose the money I called captain cook inn and spoke to Doug who I gotta say was very kind and very helpful

Manager was very friendly and attentive. Only motel/hotel we've stayed in that doesn't have a box of kleenex anywhere in the unit. Bed was wonderful! Most definitely would not recommend for disabled individuals - there are steps to get into the room, so wheelchairs won't work. Soft drink machine rather loud and affected our ability to get a good night's sleep. Probably will not return.

After traveling and spending several nights in Motel 6's, stumbling upon this Inn was greatly appreciated. They accept pets, have remodeled rooms, and were very friendly. Our room had a comfortable bed, soft sheets, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. It was tastefully decorated, provided a Bath & Body bag of toiletries, and had a nice, grassy area with gazebo and firepit. We didn't hear any traffic noise, and the location on 101 made it convenient for sightseeing and travel. We were very impressed!

We booked a room last minute based on the good reviews and I'm so happy we did! This is not your typical roadside motel- we've stayed all up and down the OR coast throughout our years in Portland and this is one of the most cozy and comfortable places we've stayed, at an unbeatable price. It felt like staying in a beloved family member's guest bedroom. The attention to comfortable details is remarkable, with better beds than some of the 4* hotels we've stayed at. I love the old fashioned architecture and furniture- its classic, NOT dated. They have comfortable arm chairs

After two days of camping in heavy rain with a leaky tent, I was pretty desperate for a decent motel room where I could dry out, take a hot shower, have a good bed & regroup. This gave me all of that and more.
My room (#12) had a large steam radiator (don't see those much anymore!) which kept the room toasty warm & had a flat top on which to dry out clothing. Steam heat = large boiler on site, and the bath & shower seemed to offer almost unlimited hot water. As many older motels only have small water heaters (or limited times of day when hot water's available), this was a

First off, this place is affordable and clean. The staff (owners?) were extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms didn't seem as outdated as other reviewers had mentioned. We weren't fond of the linen- it was rough and we ended up using our own for our two night stay. The WiFi wasn't blazing fast but we were able to stream Netflix just fine and we used our own hdmi cable to watch on the oversized flat screen tv. The walls are this but there were few guests there our first night and I think they are aware of this because all guests were spaced out so there was a vacant room between

We love this place!! Super comfortable big beds & nice big pillows. Our room always smells clean & fresh. Never had a problem with late check in (since we always seem to show up late). They are very accommodating super nice people & we always leave feeling happy & refreshed. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area. You won't be disappointed!

We have stayed here before and it's been good but just stayed last night in room 6, wow never again, stick to the carpet, smelled bad, filthy couch that's hard as a rock to sit on, we tried asking for a different room and the front desk lady said there were no others. Will her ever stay in that room again and pay that price w

My mother-in-law brought my family here for my birthday weekend, and let me just say ...this place was surprisingly amazing! We checked in and we're told to drive down the side driveway to our room. To which we found the most peaceful hidden treasure. The room was beautiful and clean! And the staff was so kind. We will for sure be back!!

1) Extremely large double queen bed room
2) Small kitchenette is handy and fully useful
3) Wi-fi is great
4) If you have dogs, this place is a must for you---it has a small park-like setting around back that is great for them and great for a person to just go out and chill
5) The only downside is the doggy smell :( It does smell like powdered carpet freshener and wet puppy :)
6) The maids could pay better attention to cleaning out the hair from the sink and bathtub---I'm bald and there were several LONG brunette follicles left from the last visitor.
OTHERWISE, you cannot find a better

I stayed here a couple of nights last week and was pleasantly surprised. I needed to be on a "low budget" level trip and needed to have my dogs with me. My exchanges with the manager both on the phone and in person were excellent! She is personable, funny and helpful. The room was VERY clean. I wasn't even grossed out by the bed dressings. I even felt guilty because I spilled something and had to use the sparkly white towel to wipe it up (I wrote a note...)!
If I have another low budget trip coming soon I will definitely give them a call.
PS-If you can't pick up their

Well worth the stay for the night! Paid a little more than what the marquee advertised but I'm not going to complain. I was expecting a so-so mom & pop motel with outdated furniture.
It was the exact opposite! The woman who checked me in was extremely pleasant. She said she was staying in the room next to the one I'd be booking and has two boys. Before I paid, she made sure it's be okay being in the room next to kids. (They were quiet so there are no complaints there!)
The rooms were recently painted. It featured a 32" flat screen tv with cable, your typical mini fridge
