Services
When I began researching places to eat in San Antonio, this place kept popping up again and again. The decorations in this place are on point! There are streamers, flags, pinatas. The bright colors just instantly brighten your mood. When you walk in there is a big bright flashing sign to register here and pick up your buzzer.
In 1951, on a trip to Mexico City, Pedro's cousin Maruca tells him she wants to come to the US to learn English. Pedro and Cruz open their home to her, and she comes to live with them. During her time in San Antonio, she suggests Pedro should open a bakery adjacent to Mi Tierra because she did not like having to go to other bakeries in nearby neighborhoods for her sweet breads.
The Mariachi Bar is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for groups of 35-70 guests. Mariachi Bar is subject to an additional room fee. To guarantee privacy, a minimum of 150 guests is required for the Mural Dining Room. The Patio Dining Room requires a minimum of 40 guests. Should the count fall below the minimum, Mi Tierra Cafe reserves the right to assign other dining spaces.

I had a very enjoyable dinner here this evening and the food here was very good. The proprietor has done all they can to make this place grey - the authentic cooking of the food, the cheery service staff (I guess a green flag regarding their management and how they treat them), even music and the over-the-top (but not kitschy decor. Would come again if I just had a bit more time in San Antonio.

First thing I can say is I grew up with Mexican food as a staple, and this is authentic. It’s high quality. My only negative here was the price seemed high for the quantity of food but if I’m being honest with you what makes it worth it is the atmosphere. It’s just a beautiful place filled with beautiful staff and there’s always great music. This is a wonderful place to make memories. Memories that don’t leave you. I remember every time I’ve been here so vividly it’s a phenomenon in itself. If you’re coming through San Antonio and happen upon this review and you don’t mind pricey

OMG!!! This place is on fire!! Tex-Mex to the max! The smell of the food from the outside lifted me off my feet and I floated all the way in. Opening the door, pretty decor, throughly the se one set of doors, pretty decor, and entered a new matrix. Authentic all around, from the ceilings, to the music, the way the staff was dress, the way the mariachi were banging out them tunes, so mind blowing. Seating was fairly quick, less then 15 min, server greeted us right away, brought us our beverages( house margarita and a mechalada). Not even five minutes after ordering a couple of soups( caldo de pollo

We went twice in two days.
This place was crazy busy from open to close in the weekend. Waiting time from 15 minutes to many hours to eating in the restaurant. Best margaritas in town. Tasty well balanced of alcohol and fruits and high quality ingredients. Excellent, intuitive services from Mr. Pablo.
Breakfast even better. Tasty high quality Menudo here. Wish they offer Mexican coffee but not. Fast and great services.
We having a great time here.

I had two items from the bakery (biscuit, and a coconut-sweet I don't know the name of), and one take-out from the restaurant (vanilla flan). I initially tried visiting on a Sunday afternoon, but there was a very long line, so I returned right before close that night. But since the restaurant was closing, I couldn't eat there like I wanted to.
All 3 items were good. The flan was extra vanilla-y. The coconut item was like an extra sweet macaroon.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to visit since a long time. The ambience is fantastic, everything is so well decorated, spacious and vibrant. They have a lot of sitting arrangements and getting a place to sit is easier.
The servers are very helpful. The food was really okay. We tried their enchiladas and Quesadillas and they were good. I like their enchiladas very better.
They have a nice bakery and you can try multiple options there.

Always so yummy and consistent! Our server was really nice and very attentive to see if we needed anything. All the staff is always friendly and we didn't have a long wait, I would say about 15 minutes and the food came out pretty quick as well. Make sure you ask for the green salsa as well it's spicy and so good!
Make sure to request a song from the mariachi! They are very good 👍 and only $10!
