Currently our favorite lunch spot in Monterey. Their cakes, pies and chocolate chip cookies are delicious. It's not a fancy place, everyone's friendly, the food's mostly really good and we love their chicken Parmesan. We've also been here for dinner but felt it wasn't as fresh as lunch. Prices are reasonable and portions are large.

This is our first trip to Monterey we wanted to find a local (preferably family-run), safe, and friendly restaurant to enjoy and support. Rosine's caught our eye and I am delighted that it did!

We were easily able to check in via the Yelp app, and the waitstaff was quick and polite. I could not believe how huge the portions are! It was a very pleasant and delicious surprise. I had the pesto pasta with chicken, which came with garlic bread and a green salad. The food was fresh, hot, and very tasty. I have zero complaints or suggestions.

Before leaving we took a swing past the dessert case

Our visit to Rosine's exceeded expectations! Also bonus points for them utilizing Yelp Waitlist (I was able to reserve our spot via the app). Once we were 2nd in line we started walking to the restaurant and we're seated right away.

Rosine's was featured on Triple D ( the foodies who know, know), so I know my man Guy wouldn't let me down. Our server was so upbeat and peppy, and she got our orders in right away. We ordered: Colorado Scramble, breakfast potatoe skins, kids pancakes, and a Bloody Mary-we also got some desserts: Bananas Foster cake, chocolate cake, and chocolate

A family owned establishment that offers a wide variety of options. American, italian, sweet, savory.

My kids enjoyed the Mickey pancakes. Only $4.99. The onion rings were thick and had a nice crunch. The wings were a huge portion and doused with sauce yet every bite was still crispy. Loved that they were generous with the ranch!

The pesto pasta was creamy and the garlic bread was a nice partner to the dish. It's extra for the chicken but worth it if you're like me and need a protein with your carbs.

The cakes...OMG. Basically stood in front of the glass case forever because everything

They have the best minestrone soup I've ever tasted, then add their homemade Lasagna and it's a trip to food coma land. You can't beat those 2 especially on a cold rainy day. They hit the home run everytime.

Pro tips-
1, Make reservations! (Or put your name on the list via Yelp!)

2, Order dessert! (Any dessert! All dessert!!)

Rosines is always busy. But we'll worth the wait if you have to wait. The menu large, so everyone can find something they want! The food always comes out fast! The meal is always fresh and flavorful!

Rosine's is an old staple in our travels to Monterey! The staff is always fast and friendly, the food is always amazing! The decor is always on point!!! But the cakes!!! The cakes are LIFE CHANGING!! If you go here, plan on dessert, even if it's to take to

ROSINE'S Restaurant
For years we've taken day trips to Carmel and Monterey but for some reason, we never really ventured out beyond Fisherman's Wharf or Del Monte area or Ocean Drive. For this visit, we read reviews by other Yelpers and tried Rosine's. We were warned that there could be a wait which could mean two things - they didn't have enough servers (a COVID side effect) or it was popular & a favorite. Fortunately, there was no wait at 1:15 PM. The brunch menu was quite unique and included fall flavors so it was the Pumpkin Pancake combo for me - three

If your visiting Monterey this is one spot you NEED to go to! I was able to make a reservation before arriving via Yelp, when I arrived I only waited about 15 minutes for a table.

Friendly staff, nice environment and delicious food. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich with the potato salad, the sandwich was a good size and the chicken was moist not dry at all, the potato salad had a sweet flavor, however, not your usual potato salad but still very delicious! My boyfriend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with prawns and all I can say is WOW, I even asked him if we could trade meals, that's

Hearty wholesome food with pleasant casual decor. Locals recommend this spot as well. Good service as three staff came by in addition to my server to take care of me. The ribs were so tender and the potato fries were addictive. Lunch crowd was hopping even at 2 PM.

The margarita was a little weak but it was a perfect accompaniment to a sunny day .

Featured on Triple D! Come to Rosine's for classic comfort food located in historic Downtown Monterey. They don't take reservations, but have a Yelp waitlist you can join. We added ourselves to the list and waited ~45 minutes on a Thursday night. A family friendly restaurant. The staff were accommodating of our stroller and gave us a spacious table for 4 outside next to a heat lamp.

The server recommended their steak salad as an appetizer, seasoned and cooked perfectly, but not the best cut of meat.

Come hungry because the entrees were massive, leaving us with plenty of leftovers

Came in cuz we were attracted by the pumpkin pancake seen on Yelp and the fact it was Halloween but to find out it is only offered for breakfast. Totally disappointed, but we ended up still staying cuz the menu had a lot to offer. We ordered the Reuben w fries (other side options available) and the California Club Sandwich w beef minestrone soup. Both sandwiches are made perfectly w lots of ingredients making it very enjoyable at every bite. The soup was a teaser cuz I was wanting more of it; isn't enough to share w someone as a sides dish. Order it as a separate dish; it will be worth it

Via Yelp while searching for a restaurant open until late, found Rosine's and decided to check it out. Added our name to the waitlist via Yelp before driving over and, after checking in with hostess, we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. We were looking to order apps so we can try their cakes. However, didn't realize that they were generous portions. We ordered:

1) Beef minestrone (bowl) - would've ordered a cup but the bowl was only $1 more. It was a big bowl served with 3 slices of bread and butter. Soup arrived lukewarm and, for me, I just

Can't say enough good things about this establishment! Fantastic food, great service, good location, nice environment. Only suggestion for the restaurant would be to find an effective method of cutting down on flies (maybe not keep the front door open all day), and maybe cook the the Canadian ham a little more on the eggs Benedict. The club sandwich was to die for. Wish we could have finished it. Huge portions. Unfortunately we weren't able to take leftovers to go. Mariah provided phenomenal service. Thank you kindly!

Always the best service and food! Came here for the second time for a day trip in Monterey. Seated for two within 5 minutes of arrival at 5pm on a Saturday. Our food came out super quick, too!! I think it was about 15 minutes total to get our drinks, appetizer, and main dish. Love this place, can't wait to come back again.

One of those places where no matter what you get/order, the food will just be good. There are some favorites worth trying, but in general, I haven't found any dishes that have disappointed me.
Let's talk cake, though... Holy cow! They are amazing! Some of them are definitely for the sweet tooth kinda person, but again, all of them worth the try. My favorite, the classic vanilla sprinkle cake.

I will rarely post negative comments about places but when we were first seated we were hit with a very dank, mildew smell like their mops were not clean. It was so strong that we asked to be seated elsewhere & the waiter said that "people always complain about the smell here!". We were moved across the room & the smell was fainter here. The food was ok, we were surprised that the pancakes were almost rubbery & hard to cut & even my bacon took a lot of effort. I could not cut it with my knife & ended up using the blade as a chisel & breaking it into pieces. Disappointing for such a nice looking

Classic spot in Monterrey to dine in. Right in main strip where they have the farmers market. Food portions are HUGE. To say you need to walk it off is an understatement. Came here for lunch and were seated quickly and attended right away. The food was good and more so on the sweet side, especially the sauces on the pastas. So bring your sweet tooth when you visit!

I have visited Rosine’s on two different occasions, and they both have been amazing! My family and I were seated almost immediately for outdoor dining which was awesome! The pesto pasta from my first visit was very creamy and the baked potatoes were such an amazing appetizer! I will for sure be returning and recommending this place to anyone that’s looking for a good restaurant in Monterey ✨
