Many visitors are curious about our unique hotel and ask if it was one of the famous 21 Kings Highway missions founded by Father Junipero Serra from 1769 (San Diego) to 1823 (Sonoma). The answer is, admittedly, no! But our Mission fits the Mold. Hotel Mission de Oro was built and opened in 1974 by Jesus Monroy, who was inspired to recreate the mission in his father's hometown of Tepoztlan in Morelos, Mexico.
An architectural gem infused with modern luxury. Hotel Mission de Oro was originally built in the Spanish mission style, and has been painstakingly renovated to retain all its original charm. Nestled in the heart of California, the hotel's restaurant takes advantage by locally sourcing ingredients to bring the best of California to your table.
Capturing the vibrancy of California's missions, our newly restored guest rooms with mission-style charm reflect the sophistication of this historic venue, including bathrooms decorated with Spanish-inspired tiles and adobe style walls. With direct access to Interstate-5, our 162 rooms lie within an intimate and secluded sanctuary.
Rich tomato fish broth and fresh clams, mussels, prawns, Dungeness crab, sea scallops, and white fish served with grilled bread. Marinated diced Ahi tuna, avocado, cucumbers, mandarin oranges, green onion, cilantro microgreens, spicy aioli, ponzu sauce, wasabi, and Asian vinaigrette with crispy wontons.
Hotel Mission de Oro's dedicated event teams have only one goal: to ensure your wedding exceeds your expectations. From your initial meeting with our coordinator to your last dance, the Hotel Mission de Oro provides all you'll need to celebrate. Our beautiful grounds provide a variety of backdrops for stunning photos.

We had a Wonderful time at this hotel. We got a suite, it was very comfortable, clean and roomy. This is a Great place to getaway from SF for a relaxing weekend. Not to far away but far enough away from the city. We ate at the hotel restaurant, we had the Ahi Tuna & the pizza. Both dishes were Awesome ! The Coconut Latte's were Very good. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The Pool is huge! The also have a Jacuzzi, a wine museum and some nights live entertainment.

Eleanor was our server. She was swamped but kept checking in on us. She was an absolute gem. She offered us the cake of the week (which is ALWAYS AMAZING) and gave us utensils to take up to our room to eat with. We have been here numerous times and our service has always been great but tonight was an amazing experience.

This location is a SLEEPER! I was totally blown away by its ambience, grandeur, and friendly staff! This is most definitely a destination location oasis in the central valley. I felt like being at an affluent resort with all the amenities. We had a Christmas party here and spent the night in a King room. The display and food was excellent and the staff was so friendly to help. We then went to the firepit and continued to enjoy the property. This is by far the best location that I was not expecting, a MUST for a get away or a large event such as a wedding. The Mission De Oro recently refurbished

This is the NICEST hotel around here. It has the resort feel like... great gym sauna very clean outdoor fire pit with chairs around to sit right outside of the bar/lounge. The restaurant is fabulous had an amazing thanksgiving dinner here. Traveling for work so this place keeps me sane. I will be here for 13 weeks. For me this place has been a little piece of heaven. If you're traveling with Healthare contract they have a discount rate contact the corporate not the hotel.

The steak bites and pepperoni pizza was delicious and quick coming out, but it was also slow. Our waitress was alright. She wasn't very attentive. I'm sure she had at least 2 other tables beside us, but I watched her wonder to the front where the hostess was and have a nice conversation with some giggling and joking with her coworkers then disappear. After waiting 10 mins for her, I finally asked the young man clearing of the tables and another young waitress if we could please get another ice tea and blended strawberry margarita. The 2 said sure not a problem. It was another 10 mins before I got

The food at the restaurant is AMAZINGGGGGG!!! We were very impressed!! The drinks at the bar, however, are poor. You can't even taste the alcohol, they taste watered down. It's as if they make them crap quality on purpose to get you to keep buying more, hoping you'll end up with a good drink. The drinks are expensive, so it feels like a rip off.
The atmosphere of the the whole hotel is beautiful. We came here for a wedding. The courtyard is gorgeous, especially at night when you sit at the fire pit. The rooms were comfortable, loved the showers in particular.

We have eaten here before and just coped with the horrible service as due to all the problems with staffing due to COVID . Tonight we have had the worst service we have ever had i our lives and walked out which we have never done before. Had to ask to have the soup brought as an appetizer. According to the service "someone else picked up our order so they had to remake it." 20
Minutes later. Well over an hour wait in a Tuesday l. Locales had no problem getting there food
Still no dinner and we walked . Sad thing is we chose this hotel based on the restaurant . Never ever again

What a gem in the middle of the plains! Fantastic gym, great rooms, beautiful tiles bathrooms, and a beautiful bunch of interesting things to see on the grounds. Also, it's like 300 feet from an in n out burger, if you're into that! If not, the restaurant on hotel property is awesome. I had the sous vide tri tip sandwich, and also got to try the pizza margherita. Super great experience except for a few bugs. (Crickets somehow got into our first floor room, probably under the door or ac?) But a few weeks ago we stayed on floor 2 and had no bugs, so pro tip: stay on floor 2 if you&apos

This was the first time for us staying here. It was a good price and great location. We walked to In-N-Out for dinner. The staff was friendly and efficient when we checked in. Our room is not fancy but clean. Then I laid on the bed. It is unbelievably hard and they pillows are just as bad. I'm terribly disappointed. We'll be coming this way again in November but if I have a horrible night's sleep I won't be staying here again. Yelp said they had just remodeled. Someone cut costs on mattress quality.

Very disappointed I had the Chicken Madeira and my Chicken was dry and overcooked. Only had 1 refill on my iced tea no refill on my ice water. Don't eat here if you're hungry the portions were very small. I asked for more rolls(3) and she said she would have to charge me, I declined because I figured we were spending more than $20 a plate and shouldn't have to pay extra for more. Also they also offered for an additional fee for the house salad and soup. I also declined because I thought my meal would fill me up but it didn't. I don't recommend this place at all, I would give it 0 stars if I was

A beautiful oasis in the foothills! My husband and I booked a room for one night and ended up staying for three. Not kidding. I went to the Main Desk two times to extend our stay. The staff was SO NICE and matched the rate I got on Hotel Tonight (+$30 fee for our dog).
We loved it here, and it's basically paradise for puppies. There's tons of grass and places to sit outside, outdoor dining, fire pits, Koi pond, rose garden, fountains, walking paths, and palm trees everywhere. Plus the sound of cars and trucks on the freeway makes for a relaxing backdrop of white noise, and a nice reminder

After seeing a billboard near Bakersfield for the hotel and wanting to avoid the crowds for Labor Day weekend, I booked a two night stay on the hotel's website. Two nights here for the price of a 1 night stay at the beach~ sign me up!
Santa Nella Village isn't much more than the hotel (built in '74) and a few fast food and gas stations. It really is out in the middle of nowhere. It's right next to the freeway which doesn't make for the most tranquil of locations.
We had an issue w/ water not draining in the shower so that put a damper on things. We called the front desk

This place is Fantastic! Excellent service, friendly, polite, check in was a breeze.
The grounds are open and very spacious, very well manicured with reflection pools and a gazebo to make any Chick Flick proud and envious. There is also a gated outside pool and hot tub spa with a security guard on duty. Other amenities include a well appointed fitness center ( meaning more than just a treadmill ) as well as laundry facilities.
Our room is a very spacious suite complete with 2 queens and a pullout sofa bed with a large oversized bathroom with two sinks.

I needed a get away with my husband and we decided to take a trip to Santa Nella for a stay at the Mission De Oro. It was such an unexpected surprise to enjoy our stay as much as we did! The hotel was such a unique experience that made you feel like you were staying at a mission with comfortable clean rooms with large showers. The amenities on site were plentiful with bocce courts, fire pits, pool, hot tub, gym, sauna, horse shoes, etc. Then their restaurant had an amazing selection. Per a recommendation we tried their tomato soup, which was delicious! Also, the tomahawk is not to be missed!

High praise from Manly. His only complaint was the lack of fattiness of his Rib Eye (Why I only order it for breakfast).
Drinks are amazing! The lavender lemon drop was to die for. The salad was excellent; fresh tossed, crisp, and well dressed. We dove into our mains so fast there are no pretty pics. Superb! The seafood pasta is recommended.
The food was great trough to dessert. The peach cobbler and ice cream hit the spot perfectly as it was homey, rich, and warm.
The staff, including our server Jacob, were friendly, courteous, and attuned to our needs.

Last weekend we stayed two nights at Mission del Oro. We absolutely loved it!!
Great place to take a travel break or just for a get away.
The rooms were clean and the beds absolutely comfortable.
The first evening we had a fabulous dinner at the kitchen. Prime rib had a small issue at first but Christopher gave us excellent customer service and fixed the situation immediately. Christopher was very generous, attentive and friendly. We just couldn't stop talking about his service and the great evening we had.
The second evening we had another excellent service evening by Amber. She made sure

We went for a quick hitter to get away from the fog and illegal fireworks going off in our neighborhood. I called and requested an early check in and they told me it should be ok. When we arrived at 11:30am we were told there was a $40 early check in fee. I probably should have fought that, but we wanted to get to our room.
Now for the good; the hotel is completely remolded. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Mini frig, microwave, and coffee maker. Very clean bathroom and comfortable bed. We had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. When outside, you do hear the freeway, but they built a sound

I’m staying at the hotel and was told about this hidden gem.
If you live anywhere nearby you need to come here. Beautiful ambiance, exceptional food, outstanding staff.
My waitress Courtney deserves praise for having a wonderful personality and for being such a damn good waitress...(Management take note).
I ordered the filet steak, comes with mashed potatoes, carrots and asparagus, it was excellent!
It came with soup or salad, I chose soup, it was tomato bisque.... texture, presentation and flavor was beyond delicious. You could make a meal out of this wonderful soup. Hats off to your Chef

The front desk were very accommodating with moving me to a quieter area of the hotel and I finally got some sleep in a hotel uninterrupted. The luxury rooms with balconies are facing the courtyard but some are out in the entrance area of the hotel.

We chose to break our drive with an overnight stay at Hotel Mission de Oro in early Dec 2020 when the COVID numbers were surging. Though we were quite fearful of contamination, we felt quite safe from the time we checked in until we checked out the next day. Occupancy was very low at about 20%. The feel one gets as you walked in was quite inviting and classy. The hotel was old mission style. Their decor and details were old church Spanish style in good taste. Our room was clean, comfortable and of a good size. Of the few hotel staff we interacted with, courteous and caring. Landscaping was breathtaking

What a hidden gem!
Driving from Oregon to L.A. we knew we wanted to stop somewhere around Stockton. The Hotel popped up and the reviews looked good, so we took a chance.
$107 for a king sized bed and a huge room. Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small, but not a problem.
We went to their restaurant, The Kitchen, and it was excellent. Our server Mandi was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent.
It looks like it is pet friendly, the pool area was very nice. There were 2 separate fire pits you could sit around and a really nice outside seating area.
