Self-taught, Professional Makeup Artist, Asia Thurston is the Owner and Operator of Changingfacez Makeup Artistry. Asia had an opportunity with Mary Kay which cultivated a business in beauty. The business allowed her to service many women in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. Always asking her girlfriends to "come play in makeup" blossomed and turned into a deep passion for makeup in 2011.

Seeing the desire in women who wanted to look and feel beautiful, Asia discovered her niche in the Bridal industry. Services include makeup for bridal consultations, engagement photos, bridal portraits and wedding day coverage (amongst others). Changingfacez Makeup Artistry specializes in beauty needs for big events and special occasions.

As someone who also suffers from sensitive skin, all makeup products and tools are disinfected and sanitized prior to each use. We use Professional Brands that are designed to give you long lasting results and photograph beautifully.
Whether you are having a baby shower, Quinceaera, going on a date, or turning another year and want to look your best, I am the Makeup Artist for you. You can choose from either traditional or airbrush foundation application (with strip lashes). I am here to make sure that you are picture perfect for your special event!

Asia was very responsive to my initial inquiry and followed up almost immediately to discuss the details of my upcoming appointment. She was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She arrived early and prompt to set up and break down to give my plenty of time to get to my photo shoot. I was getting professional headshots and requested a soft look. Her work was impeccable and I got compliments all day! My photographer even remarked on my makeup and requested Asia’s information for her own client referrals. I absolutely LOVED Asia! She was very knowledgeable, professional, and was super fun to work with. I asked a lot of questions (as I am a beginner), and she had an answer for every single one of them. I also love how she’s affordable and uses natural skincare products (a big plus if you have sensitive skin)! My makeup looked super natural and I was swarmed with compliments all day! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Asia a few times now do to me being a model! My very first experience I felt like Asia and I were just 2 friends catching up and reminiscing on the good ole days! Needless to say she makes you feel comfortable and confident!

Asia did my makeup for my recent outdoor wedding, I am am so thrilled with the fantastic job she did! I had my makeup trial over the summer and it was wonderful. She was very professional and kind, and I had so much fun getting my makeup done. She took some spectacular photos of the trial for me to keep.
