Ellensburg Brake & Bearing is owned by David Dixon. After working more than 22 years as a service mechanic in Ellensburg in his most recent employment, he talked with his best assistant and decided to open his own shop. In 2016, Ellensburg Brake & Bearing officially opened for business. A multitude of clients followed David on this new venture.

Owner talked with me about his hesitation with lifting Tesla vehicles. We came to an agreement that I would removed my own wheels from my Model Y and he would mount and balance the tires I had delivered by Tire Rack. Good small town shop locally owned. I enjoy meeting local business owners and forming a relationship that my whole family can trust for repeat business.

We blew a wheel bearing on our travel trailer and limped to the koa. Called these guys first thing Monday morning and they were able to get us in to diagnose and fix it immediately as well as replace the other wheel bearings so this didn't happen down the road. Price was beyond fair and everyone was super friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommended.

This place saved the day. The brakes on our brand new trailer went out and I called them in the morning and Dave answered very cheery and friendly. Said to bring it right over. We took it there and Jay worked hard at diagnosing the problem. Everyone there was very friendly and it was fun to hang out and be able to see what they were working on. Jay finished our issue in just a few hours and saved our weekend. We thought we were going to have to pack it up and go home but they were so quick, that we were able to continue on. My 2016 Subaru Impreza was experiencing all sorts of electrical gremlins; it wouldn't shift out of park, had several dash lights stuck on and most dangerously the brake lights were not functioning. Needless to say my car wasn't safe to be on the road and was becoming a real problem for me personally. After a few days of ripping my car apart and failing to fix the issue I e-mailed Ellensburg Brake & Bearing and received a prompt reply to bring the car in. Incredible service, and truly helpful. Dave worked with me on getting a used set of tires, letting me trade in my older rims for some credit. Tires were reasonably priced for sure, and after returning for a brake issue again the prices were quite reasonable. Let me in on the whole process, and was more than willing to check out any concerns I had. Absolutely would recommend, and will be back.
