Ilona Csapo, MD, is a nationally renowned, Dartmouth-trained psychiatrist, addictionologist and treatment consultant with years of experience working with buprenorphine, addiction, and dually-diagnosed conditions. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 2002 and completed a general psychiatry residency at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM in 2006.
Compassionate, experienced and customized treatment is provided for psychiatric concerns ranging from acute onset of symptoms to the management of chronic mental illness. SUBLOCADE is an injectable form of buprenorphine indicated for the treatment of opioid use disorder in those stabilized on buprenorphine and in need of longer-term support.

After about 15 years of going through a plethora of all kinds of therapists and not clicking with any one of them, I found myself in the cozy office of Kim Skelton. In the past, I've had a really difficult time opening up to therapists, but Kim made me feel so at ease from our very first session. She's so approachable and easy to talk to and never judgmental no matter what I confide in her. She has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met. She makes me feel supported and loved and I always feel better knowing she's rooting for me to get better. Kim is also very accessible. If I need to reach her

Dr. Csapo has always been an amazing doctor to me. She listens to my needs, and knows my condition well. She was able to diagnose me using her knowledge of adverse medication reactions, and the medication she has prescribed me has changed my life and helped me regain stability. She helps me combat side effects, and works with my needs to find the right balance and dosage for my medication.
I am now capable of juggling a demanding job, a serious relationship, and a busy home life with much more ease.
Of course, staying in weekly counseling is important for my mental health, but for medication

Love this place and the people that work there. Everybody is extremely nice and treats you with dignity and respect. Dr. Csapo is a genuinely good person, very down to Earth and knows how to treat her clientele as patients and as people. 5 stars for sure. I've been to one other place in Asheville and it was nowhere near the quality as Willow.

The care that each individual at Willow Wellness provides for clients is apparent- the office itself is soothing, tidy, and inviting. I am always greeted with lots of warmth and familiarity by the folks at the front desk, offered hot tea and encouraged to spend time with the friendly dogs, if they are having an office visit. My experience with Dr. Csapo has been nothing but positive- she is direct, kind, and funny, and offers tons of warm encouragement coupled with thorough explanations of what the heck is going on in my brain. I feel totally relieved to have found psychiatric services like these

I'm a fellow professional in the Mental Health and Addictions treatment world. Dr. Csapo is person centered to a degree that is incredibly difficult to find leading me to consistently offer her as a suggestion when people are seeking a psychiatrist or addictions specialist. She does an amazing job listening to our shared clients and prescribing in a way that is dialed into the needs of the human in front of her. The facillity in general is quit nice, it has a good atomosphere but the problem is the front desk lady, she like to speek out lout about your problems so that everyone in the waiting room can here, and if your a privite person like mysely that is not something i would like stranges knowing. another problem is they do not like giving out recepts "they prefer cash only" and still want give a recept. this place is a money pit if you attend 2 group meeting your out of pocket cost is 325 and if you do not addend group twice a month you out of pocket cost is 375, then they will make you and offer to

Wish I could give 6 stars!! I met Dr. Ilona Csapo today and I must say she is by far the nicest, and MOST importantly, "down to earth" doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. There is always anxiety when starting with a new doctor to handle medication management, but I was quickly put to ease. She tells it how it is. Most doctors just ask you about your symptoms, Dr. Csapo takes the time to get to know you first. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And I am excited to continue to work with her! Also the dogs are wonderful!!!!!!!!
