Our Goal is to support local Florida educational programs and communities through providing nutritious meals of the best quality for our children. We believe that good nutrition powers the mind. We assist schools, childcare centers, head start, after school and summer programs with the application and approval process for the NSLP and CCFP programs.
We also connect these programs with Florida caterers who provide Fresh Healthy Meals utilizing local foods from our communities. Our caterers and partners are locally owned, buy local foods and products, and give back to our communities. They produce menus that exceed state nutritional standards, have fresh fruits and vegetables, and allow flexibility to fit your program needs.

Services
Being part of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and Child Care Feeding Program (CCFP) can be very beneficial to your Organization. Not only do these State and Federal programs provide financial support for your meal service they are also an excellent resource for ideas on how to improve child nutrition over all.
Finding the right partnership in child nutrition is key for the long term success of your business. Unfortunately it is not always easy. At Fresh and Local Meals we believe and utilize a Right Clients Right Terms philosophy. Not every customer is a good fit. We help you determine what the right clients are for your business and then focus on finding and creating that partnership.
A Back Pack Program is an amazing program that gives back to the Community. It represents a local community coming together to take care of their hungry children. Partnering with non-profits, faith based organizations, and the local school system the community comes together through volunteers to supply children in need with meals to last them the weekend.
Chef Michael Thrash currently resides in Seminole, FL. He is currently the Corporate Executive Chef for The J.R. Simplot Company and a Chef Instructor at the Art Institute of Tampa. After growing up in Rochester, NY with a very large family of great cooks and a rockstar cook in his Mother; Michael knew at a young age that food and cooking was a passion of his.
Our mission is to eliminate food insecurities for children and their families by providing nutritious and simple meals, through backpack programs, food pantries, week end meals, school break packs. 1 in 5 children have food insecurities in Florida. It's unacceptable. We have thousands of children throughout the state waiting to receive food from us.
