Kinsla was nice while I was there getting serviced, but Yall.... I really wanted to like my hair style honestly but I just CAN'T. The style I requested was a perm rod set. During my time getting serviced after she washed my hair, she blew out my hair & proceeded with adding the rollers to my hair. First, I wanted to point out that I'm a naturalista who mostly wears my hair curly so it's hard to know when I need a trim. (Which is weird because most stylists ask you when was your last trim and etc) She didn't tell me I needed a trim until the rollers came out of my head ,leaving

Kinsla was absolutely amazing -- she truly answered the call when I needed a style solution to meet my needs. I was about to begin a contract gig at a corporation, so I needed to easily straighten my hair and maintain it without much of a fuss. She was not only accommodating, but very professional! I highly recommend her salon!

I absolutely love Kinsla! She’s a stylist that keeps the needs and desires of her clients as priority! The Total Hair Elite Salon is contemporary in style but old-school in service! I appreciate the face to… face experience as opposed to being forced to book and discuss needs via social media! This place has been the answer to my hair troubles. I am very picky about who does my hair and how it is done and as late it has been really hard for me to find a hair dresser that will do what I want. My hair is currently natural but i do not like to wear it in its natural state. Kinsla understands this. She straightens my hair to perfection with out any chemicals and for that i am grateful. She also does not use any gel or unnecessary hair products. ( per my request) She even has a great personality and is so easy to talk to!

Kinsla is amazing. i came in for a cut with the splits super far up in my hair. the problem was that my ENDS were healthy but my hair is very fine and splits UP the strand. everytime id go to get my ends trimmed, they only take off 1-2 inches from the ends when in reality, i needed layers cut to get the mid strand splits. kinsla has been the only person to listen to me and do exactly what i wanted; she was not afraid to cut as others have been. i am so appreciative of her! even though my hair is much shorter now, its very healthy. don't hesitate; definitely book your appointment. she wont

Don Flint @ Total Hail Elite Works wonders! He has flexible hours and makes himself available whenever needed. I can usually get into him with less than a 24 hr notice. I’m usually in and out in about an hour. The environment is fun and relaxed. I highly recommend him for all of your hair care needs.

Thank you so much again, Kinsla! This is long overdue, but I had my first keratin treatment done with her and my hair turned out shiny and amazing. She was very knowledgeable and also let me know about coloring options for the future. I am so thankful I was able to find her.

This hair salon SAVED my birthday weekend. After a stylist cancelled my appointment on the day of i was left without any options to get my hair done for my trip the next morning. I called around multiple places and finally reached the ONE. I hadn't had my hair straightened in 2 years and Kinsla gave my hair life! The vibe of the shop is definitely different from what you would expect from a beauty shop (in a good way). I left happy, extremely satisfied with my hair treatment and straightening, and a new customer! I highly recommend this hidden gem in midtown for your hair care services!

My girls (under 12) see Kinsla for a bit of everything - conditioning, cut, style (straightening). She's great with them and does a great job. I was hesitant to do any straightening as one of my girls has breakage. She was the first to do that on their hair and we couldn't be happier. Kinsla is also great about finding time to see them - very flexible and hardworking. And to top it off, she's super friendly. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Total Hair Elite for over 7 years and have been more than happy! There are no long waits and I'm always able to get an appointment when I need one. All the stylists are great. I've personally gone to Kinsla and Don, but hear great things about the other stylists. THC is my go-to hair salon!

My Stylist was very patient and… understand with me, she talked me though tho whole process. Which in turn made me very comfortable. I’m so grateful I found this place! I will definitely be back!

I wanted a straight style for my natural hair for a few days and found this place on Yelp.
Kinsla is very knowledgeable and friendly. She suggested to cut my hair (which I hadn't done in a long time) and gave me some advice.
The salon is at a great location and is very clean.
The price ($90 total) was reasonable for the service and I was very satisfied with the result of both the cut and the silk press

This won't be my go-to-salon for natural hair styles but definitely where I will go when feeling like a straighter look!

I have to give Kinsla a five star rating , she is knowledgeable and professional. I came in today with my hair needing a Miracle lol and she did way more. I was referred by a close friend who had a bob cut and now her hair is past her shoulders. I am Extremely picky about who does my hair , but the hair transformation I saw in my friend I booked an appointment. I am extremely pleased with my hair I can't stop smiling I love the feel it's soft my cut is cute and up to date and I can't imagine going anywhere else. These people do not play! Appointments are timely. If there is a hitch you are notified immediately. The longest it has ever taken me to get in and out is two hours, and that's with a hitch in scheduling and they're running a bit behind. And they're conveniently located in mid town.
