My name is Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart and I am the President and Owner of A New Day Pediatric Psychology, PLLC. I am really passionate about serving and helping people. I received my doctorate in 2006 from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology. I was born and raised on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for people to feel like they fit in, to not feel marginalized, isolated, rejected, lonely. This results in comparing themselves to others, either feeling better than or not enough. Being free to be the person you were meant to be, being true to yourself, can lead to amazing joy, contentment and freedom.
The good news? This is a learned skill. Just as you can learn poor self-regulation, you can learn healthier ways to care for yourself, interact with your children, and ultimately teach them how to regulate themselves. We can help! If your insurance provider is not listed and you are located in the state of Texas, you may still qualify for behavioral health services with your insurance provider.
Accepting our children as they are is a step toward ridding ourselves of the constant parent-child struggle. The goal, or one of them at least, of our parenting journey is to achieve the parent-child relationship you ultimately desire. The key is learning to approach your distressing parent-child situation in a different way and from a completely new perspective.

A pretty okay experience for psychological testing. It wasn’t until there were so many billing issues that I felt the need to write a review. I spoke to Dr. Lockhart during the chaos of it all and she was compassionate, but that was the only positive thing I have to say about it. They got my benefits wrong so many times and it was really unsettling considering I work at another mental health facility that does evaluations as well. All I’m saying is that make sure you know exactly what you’re paying for. I had to re-verify and re-verify and eventually even file a grievance with my insurance

Dr. Lockhart is a fabulous psychologist. She has impeccable interpersonal and communication skills. I met her during a training she provided at an agency I work at. Within minutes I felt very connected to her. She is very skilled in her craft! She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and she brings her authentic self into her work, which is a rare and lovely quality to see amongst colleagues. My kid really needed help...Specifically wanted an African American female counselor for my daughter to be able to relate to. Tricare sent a referral to her office. Received no phone calls for almost two weeks. Then was told, she wasn't accepting any new clients, even though her voicemail says "We are currently accepting new clients". Recommended the parenting group session for me! The referral was for my kid!

Dr. Lockhart is amazing. As an aspiring counselor who uses a communication device to speak, she has encouraged me to go for my dream despite this obstacle. She sees the potential in me to be able to help people, whereas others don't see my capabilities. She recently asked me to help her with a huge project and I was honored to assist her even though she could have asked someone else for assistance.
