I'm Zoila Burgas, owner and founder of Zoila's Hair Design and Spa. My journey as a hair dresser began 27 years ago in my home country of Peru, where I worked over 10 years in the business. I traveled to Europe to expand my knowledge and to specialize in hair cuts and color through education from top professionals in the business.

I’ve going to Zoila’s twice since I moved to Harrison and both times, she overcharged me. The price on her site is different than the price that she asks for and I think she does this on purpose and tries to get one over on people. This next time I went, I gave her pictures of the haircut I want and I kid you not - she literally spent 10 minutes on my haircut, did basically nothing, and then charged me $80. She’s a scam artist. I do NOT recommend.

Best haircuts and hair treatments in Harrison, NJ.
This is my to go spot when I go visit my family that lives in north Jersey.
Zoila is always accommodating and her new team Diana and Sebastian are extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. I usually go by myself to get a wash, hair treatment, split ends hair cut and a blow dry with curls. I'm there not longer than 2 to 3 hours and that's including the treatment.
If I only go for a blow dry and curls, I'm done and out the door in less than an hour.
Last two times I took my fourteen year's old stepdaughter to get a hair

she's trying to make what she lost during the pandemic??? Also she's pushy trying to sell shampoos and conditioners. DONT TRUST her prices over the phone or board price

Zoila has been cutting my hair for 10+ years. She is very professional, friendly, kind, sweet and funny. She makes sure you leave her salon happy.
What I love about her is that she is constantly training. She is always traveling to different countries and states training and making sure she’s learning new techniques.

I called last minute around 5:30 PM and they told me that I could come right in I live about a five minute drive from the salon which I've never been to and the owner took care of me she was very nice and I really like her vision for her business I can see that she's very into artwork and beauty she wants to enhance women's natural beauty and try to save time. Loved Zoila! First off, very easy to book an appointment. In these crazy Covid times, was very impressed and felt very safe with all the precautions she had in place! Only had a haircut done this time - but her questions were very direct, and unlike other hair stylists I've been to, took off exactly how much I asked for instead of getting scissor happy. Didn't try to up sell me on any additional services or products. Managed her time between myself and two other clients very well, didn't have to wait. She's also very nice and easy to talk to. Can't wait to come again!

In addition to being very friendly and sweet, Zoila is very talented. She fixed my brassy blond with a toner and gave me an awesome haircut which falls much more naturally than my previous cut. The deep conditioning treatment she gave me brought my hair back to life and left it feeling smooth.She also gave me advice on how to better care for my hair so that my highlights last longer and even gave me a makeover before I left. I will be back and would definitely recommend her.

I had received a callback for an interview last second, and she thankfully was able to see me. My long hair was in desperate need of a shorter, more professional look. Zoila gave me a fabulous, sleek, yet still fun asymmetric bob that I absolutely fell in love with. I left the salon feeling fresh and confident!

So I have been seeing Zoila for over a year now. I found her here on Yelp as well. Might as well pay it forward.

I have been loving Zoila service and cost for few times I went there. Up till recently when I went during the holidays she put up her price so high. First time I went there for cut, wash and blow dry it was $25, second time it went up till $35 and end of last year it rose up till $50. I was shocked with this price but was in hurry n had to pay for it and hoping it included some tips also. Really really disappointed with her and unfortunately I will have to find another place which fits my budget with a good service.

I hate to give such a low rating but I ended up being disappointed in my haircut here. I had high hopes during my visit and thought I was getting good service. I tried to ignore the fact that my haircut was performed without clips for sectioning and without any texturizing/layering done. My hair looked good after it was blown out and I left happy but when I washed it and styled it myself at home, I could tell that attention to detail was unfortunately lacking with uneven pieces and a very blunt, broom-like cut with no shape. I will have to visit a more reputable salon now to actually get the cut

So after my previous review of her manicurist, I was asked to update my horrid review and I decided to get my hair done. I went in to get ombre brunette to blonde hair. I had naturally brunette hair so I wasn't expecting a gorgeous blonde color on the first go. She had told me she had olaplex so that was mainly what sold me. I never saw her mix it in and I feel certain it wasn't used on my hair because my hair felt 10x worse the day after.
The bleaching process was quick and felt rushed. The color was very brassy so I asked her if she could just tone it a bit so it wasn't so bright

The worst booking appointment experience I ever had. I called probably like 3 times and they never had time or day available. "We are booked" she said . And 3 times more . Then I thought ok maybe their Groupon is popular right now let me wait and book it in advance like in 2 weeks (I had a Groupon 2). So I called and lady asked me "are you paying full price or Groupon ?" I asked why does it matter and she said "oh we take Groupon only before 3 because after 3 we have a rush hours on over own customers ". Excuse me? When does is says on the fine print? This is violation

My nails look great! But the service was horrible. I went there with a friend for her bday. The manicurist was super rough. I pulled my foot away a couple of times. She said i had a lot skin. I'm well aware of that. It doesn't mean you get to pull it. You need to cut it! She told me she couldn't finish getting the skin if i kept moving. I told her to stop getting the skin. She asked me if i wanted to the pedicure completely. No, i just needed you to do your job well without inflicting pain. She did the same with my hands. Oh and we were never greeted. I went to see Zoila for the first time ever yesterday, and I can confidently say that I will be going back for a long long time! I have been living in NJ for 2.5 years and still had not found a hairdresser that I liked. I finally decided to try Zoila based on her reviews. I just moved to the area so needed to find a stylist. Since I have short hair, I was leery of going to just any stylist. I looked on Yelp and saw great reviews for Zoila's. What clinched the deal for me was that, as I scrolled through the pictures, I saw one picture of a girl with practically the same short hair style that I have. I truly have to say I have never randomly walked into a salon and have walked out content! I have never been so pleased with the service this salon has offered!
