Established in 2014 but with more then 10 years experience under our belt, our staff is highly trained with diversity in all aspects of hair. My family and I have been going to see Maria for about 4 years. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences there, and the staff is professional and fun. They are like a second family to us!

I've never been disappointed. Friendly yet professional service. Ive never been rushed nor have had to wait. I love the fact that she listens too her clients and is honest. I love that! I've always wanted a pixie cut and never felt brave enough until I met Maria! Now I don't think I'll ever go back to long hair : She's also fantastic at coloring, deep conditioning and I love that she knows what's new in the hair industry.

Having had thin hair, I've always wanted extensions so I could look better in my photos. After trying Salon Nine 28's hair extensions, I'm happy to report that I'm always front and center of every group photo we have now!

Can't really overstate how well Salon Nine 28 understand color theory - I don't know how you guys do it, but your hair coloring on me ALWAYS looks better than I thought I would look in my head. Thanks for all the great service!

I’ve had thin hair my whole life that's why I've always been in the hunt for a good quality hair extentions. After finding out about Salon Nine 28, I quickly booked an appointment with them. My were installed meticulously and masterfully and I couldn’t be happier. They blend into my hair perfectly even when I let it air dry. Color match is perfect without dying.

I just moved to Nutley and decided to try Salon Nine28. It is walking distance to my house! I really loved how Jenn did my hair! I asked for an ombre and a cut and showed her a picture. She explained to me that what I wanted was actually a bayalage (good to know the difference!). She did a beautiful job of blending my old color with the new. I love how bright the color came out! I will definitely be back. The space is also very charming. :)

Love Salon Nine28! I've seen three different stylists there and have loved them all. I've had haircut & blowout by Maria and Dominique, and cut, color & blowout by Michele and was super happy with the finished product for all services. Cute, clean salon and everyone there is very sweet and accommodating, not to mention talented!

I was so nervous to try a new stylist but Maria was so easy to talk to that I felt comfortable right away. I desperately needed a root touch up and my overgrown long hair styled. She matched/bettered my existing color and paid great attention to detail on every strand on my head. I am thrilled with the result and will definitely go back!

Ever since I moved to NJ I've had a hard time finding a hair salon that meets all my needs. I've been all around the area- Little Falls, Short Hills, Nutley- and I must say I'll have to look no further after finding Salon Nine28. Maria and Chelsea are the nicest hairstylists ever. I have an anxiety disorder and it makes it hard for me to feel comfortable or safe in new environments but they are very friendly and polite. I have a hard time trusting anyone with my hair since my hair can be difficult at times and I'm very specific about how I like it- especially when it comes to

Had a great conditioning treatment and blowout by Chelsea. Love that they use Pravana color and products. Staff was very nice and the salon was very clean.
