Services
Fee-only means we do not accept commissions, revenue sharing or other third-party payments. Our only compensation comes from clients. Being fee-only reduces the possibility of giving conflicted advice to clients. The investment world, with its long history of conflicts of interest and investor exploitation, needs to change to put its clients' interests before its own.
We offer a complimentary "get-acquainted" meeting, at which we'll explore your interests, goals and dreams. It's a no-commitment opportunity for us to learn more about one another and for you to see if we're a good fit for your needs. We respect and appreciate your privacy, meaning we'll use your phone or email only to get in touch with you.
A fee-only financial planner is a consultant who can help you develop a strategy for reaching your personal financial dreams. A planner can offer unbiased advice or even just a second opinion on a decision that you're considering. In short, like CPAs and attorneys, financial planners have valuable tools, knowledge and experience at their disposal.
Financial planning is about your aspirations -- for your life, your family and community, and your goals and objectives. Communitas partners with clients to create a cohesive and purposeful financial strategy for reaching those life goals. The result might be a detailed financial plan that we help you implement, or a road map you take on your journey forward.
We are often asked about the performance of socially responsible investments. People may assume that if they consider environmental, social, and governance issues when selecting investments, their performance will be worse than conventional, non-SRI portfolios that do not consider these factors. The evidence, however, points to no negative effect on performance for portfolios screened positively and negatively for socially responsible criteria.
