Heart of Texas made this process very easy. They provide exactly the service that they describe, and they do it in a very professional way. The staff was always knowledgeable and courteous when I called, and they made the pickup of my father's remains very easy and dignified. There is nothing fancy here, so If you're looking for anything other than what they describe on their site, you are in the wrong place.

Bad experience. Personnel are not helpful and seem to dread working there. Everything from the errors I had to correct several times on forms to the fact they only ordered 2 death certificates when I asked for 8 ( and then tried to charge me extra for ordering the remaining ones) was just a bad experience. You’re all servicing people who’ve had a loss in their lives, if recommend being more professional, empathetic and overall taking a little pride in your jobs.

If my family would have known about this place back when my grandmother passed away...it would have been a great relief for my uncle.... I'm impressed with the way they handled my mom... with dignity and respect... and absolutely no high pressure to add on to the bill... would definitely use them again but can't cause I'm the last person in my family

Heart of Texas was a great resource for me at a time of great need. They respectfully, promptly attended my husband at his passing. I had to go all the way out to their office for pickup but when I got home and was unable to get the urn out of the box, they drove all the way to my home to assist. I can't say enough good about this company and highly recommend them!

Have your loved one go anywhere else. One- they are a ripoff, and charge $50 here, several hundred there- it adds up.
Two- they are incompetent. I got several different estimates for the time frame in which they said the death certificates would be back from the state. None are correct- it’s been almost two months. I cannot empathize enough- you HAVE to have this certificate. Is that out of their hands? Perhaps- but they didn’t offer to do jack all to follow up with the state. They did eventually provide me with an (incorrect) 800 number. Really? They deal with this department ALL OF THE TIME

They were professional and courteous, but they forgot we wanted to witness the cremation, and so it happened without our knowledge. Our beloved son's body was cremated without the prayers we wanted to chant. This was due to an administrative fluke, but since I had talked to the director about our wishes several times, I feel that the personal attention a family has reason to expect was lacking.

The people of this company were very kind and professional. They explained exactly what they would do and gave me the price for their services. When they came to retrieve my husband's body, they were very respectful in making sure I had time to spend with him before they took him. I would highly recommend this company for their courtesy, respect, and professionalism.

They picked up my mom very professionally, respectfully and reverently. Her move was handled quietly and the van was unmarked. Even the UPS driver who arrived with a package just after we closed the back door of the van had no clue as to what was going on.
I did a viewed cremation for my own peace of mind. That was also handled very respectively and reverently, I would also like to add that the cremation area was the cleanest working facility I've ever seen in my life. They didn't try and upsell us on anything. The man and his wife were a pleasure to deal with.

The people at Heart of Texas Cremation made the cremation of my father simple, cost-efficient, and dignified. They also offered a range of urns and keepsakes for my whole family.
