Kevin is the Owner of Advanced Orthopedic Designs and has over 30 years of experience. He was trained as an Orthotist at the Academy of Health Sciences at Brooke Army Medical Center in 1982 and honorably discharged in 1993. He has worked for 3 of the largest O&P facilities in San Antonio and until he finally decided to open his own practice. Kevin specializes in pediatrics but enjoys working with patients of all ages.

This variation of the floor reaction AFO offers exceptional triplanar control with less surface contact than other designs, making it lighter weight and cooler. The secret is a polypropylene reinforcing strut that runs the length of the AFO from the medial arch up the leg, then back down to the lateral border of the heel.

When I met Kevin Matthews at AOD I was in severe pain with my current orthotics that I have been using for 10 plus years.
