Yuma Catholic High School
The mission of Yuma Catholic High School is to bring students to Christ, to prepare students for college, and to develop students through service to the community. Yuma Catholic High School embraces the distinctive elements of a traditional Catholic school education.

Through religious instruction, the message of the Gospel, and the light of faith, students are encouraged to live as children of God and as followers of Christ through personal prayer, celebration of the sacraments, the virtue of love, and service to others.
Services
While YCHS provides a safe, small school environment for approximately 400 students, at the same time, it is comparable to any large high school in terms of the programs that are offered.

These programs include but are not limited to Advanced Placement classes, Dual Credit classes offered in partnership with Arizona Western College, honors level classes, seventeen Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) sanctioned sports and activities, and student clubs.
YCHS is committed to supporting active duty and reserve military personnel and their families who are stationed in the greater Yuma community. We hope that the following list of sites and resources will be of help. Should you need anything further, please don't hesitate to contact us. MCAS Yuma School Liaison Program: http://mccsyuma.org/index.cfm/military-family/school-liaison/.
Yuma Catholic High School offers an exceptional Catholic college preparatory curriculum and provides a learning environment that reflects the teachings and values of the Catholic Church. To be considered a candidate, you must meet the minimum requirements and submit a completed application packet. Please submit the application packet as a whole with all required documents.
If you have a current student or have applied to Yuma Catholic in the past, you may already have an account created. Each is linked to a shopping cart where you can pay the $25 test fee for the date you wish your child to attend. We expect to have more students applying, then we have seats available in the class.
Educating students in a faith-filled, college-preparatory environment can initially seem cost prohibitive for many families. However, we know how committed our Yuma Catholic families are to providing their children the best possible academic and spiritual foundation, so YC and the Diocese of Tucson have financial support available to help offset tuition costs.

I graduated from this high school after attending for four years, and I must say that this school does not live up to the image that they present to the world. Don't get me wrong, there are some very good and hardworking teachers at this school, but the main problems stem from the schools administration. The school runs itself more like a secondary middle school rather than a high school, creating an overbearing authoritative atmosphere throughout the school. This wouldn't be such a negative, if the school administration wasn't headed by a petty wannabe-tyrant that will threaten to expel any student

I graduated from here and honestly there are some great teachers that work hard to see their students progress and I have no idea why they would waste their time with working with some of the buffoons(Not all of the staff in administration) that work in the administration who make games with punishing students and take pride in being overbearing and providing a negative atmosphere.

Our older daughter went to one year at a district school and then transferred to Yuma Catholic. She has since graduated from YC, and our son has begun attending YC. We have been very happy with our experience at YC. We especially like the traditional curriculum, small class size, the close-knit campus, and athletic opportunities.

Would not send our children to any other high school in town. They live up to their excellent academic and spiritual reputation.
