At St. Francis Center, our dedicated recreation department understand the importance of socializing and forging friendships, all while keeping active, which is why they provide our residents with a stimulating variety of recreation programs on an individual, small, and large group basis.
The Director of Therapeutic Recreation plans a monthly schedule of activities, programs, and special events, including, musical entertainment, games, gardening, craft projects, movies, pet therapy, inter-generational activities, and community outings.Additionally, upon admission, our therapeutic recreation staff determines activity interest by completing activities assessments, which are used to develop individualized programs for residents.

Really NO STARS. Your staff is under trained, rude, disrespectful and they don't care about their patients needs UNTIL the family files a complaint. Even then it's still a struggle. The language barrier is also a problem. The nurses who have a foreign accent needs to slow down so that the patient can understand what they are saying. Why do they get mad when you can't understand what is being said? If I was a lawyer I would start a class action suit against them and the hospital next door. Zero for both facilities!

For the most part the jury is still out. I think some floors and staff are better than others. In my opinion, i think the way the staff collaborates is key. My grandmother spent the last few months of her life here. She became afraid to use the bathroom and wanted a bedpan and sometimes the persons responsible for that gave her problems but when i told her nurse about it she was kind and tried to find out who the other person was. This is why i say it depends on the floor and staff.

I have worked at this facility doing Perdiem work for an indepandant contractor. While it's in a neighborhood with curb appeal. Once you get past the receptionist that's when you see it for what it is. The residents are in dated I'll performing beds, they don't have basic essential supplies. Often despite the time of year there are large bugs . There is a lingering stench of urine and sickness in the air. The residents wear gowns most of the time because their clothing is miss placed, because it's not labeled. They are so poorly staffed that residents who are fall risk often try and help their

It was at the suggestion of my family that I come to St. Francis Center so that I am well taken care of. Ever since I got here I feel better, get my medications, and get treated well. I go to dialysis 3 times a week and when I get back my supper is hot and ready for me. My roommate is a very nice gentleman and is like a brother to me. My nurse, Rachel, is great! She is truly the best! She is really concerned about my health here and makes me feel at home. I have never met a person like her before that doesn't know me well but takes care of me like I'm her brother. She is one of the best! The CNAs
