A little About Us. Chimcare was started in Canby, Oregon, in 1989, by our dad, Richard Peralta. He started this business on a part-time basis to provide extra income for our family of eight, while also working full time for UPS. After five years of hard work and dedication to his customers, he was able to leave UPS and pursue Chimcare full-time.
He built this company and its reputation one customer at a time. Fast forward twenty years and many of his first customers are still with Chimcare today. He taught us the importance of taking our time to do the job better than right. We remain committed to our father's standards of going above and beyond for each and every customer.

If you answered yes, it could mean that your chimney is lined with creosote, the soot byproduct from burning wood. Decreased airflow from a build-up of soot will greatly impact the performance of your chimney and fireplace increasing your danger from fire and carbon monoxide. If you haven't used a chimney sweep or had an inspection in over a year, you should do it now!
Unfortunately, even brickwork that is well protected from water will eventually break down from old age and will need masonry repair. Is the mortar between your bricks sagging out? This wearing of your chimney wall can greatly compromise its integrity. Tuck-Pointing is a process where we scrape or cut out the deteriorating mortar and then refill the joints with fresh mortar.
Chimcare Portland Chimney Sweep in Oregon can keep your fireplace or stove humming all season. We use several different brushes and rods to ensure the proper removal of soot from the chimney and connector pipes. Our standard procedures include the use of vacuums, tarps, drop clothes and shoe covers to ensure your home stays clean.
Dust from your home including dust mites, mold, pollen and animal dander can layer the insides of your air ducts, requiring professional air duct cleaning to remove this nasty things. These contaminates can then be circulated back into the air you breath aggravating your allergy symptoms or making your house dusty.
The build-up of lint in your dryer vent can cause increased temperatures inside your dryer system putting you at risk for a fire. Regular lint-trap and dryer vent cleaning can protect you and your home. Chimcare uses Abatement HEPA-Aire duct cleaning process - the most efficient cleaning system available today.

If I could give these people 6 stars I would. Chimcare was recommended to me by Angie's list and also a reaItor. I had to have an old wood stove removed from the basement of an older home in Portland. Patrick and Conrad were on time, introduced themselves and were very personable. They went right to work. They protected the floors upstairs as this had to come out through the house. This stove was very heavy, 340 lbs not counting the brick inside. Heavy! They removed the stove left me the DEQ paperwork, and cleaned up the area where the wood stove was located. Also bricked in the large hole where

I live on the SE side Livingston Mt. which about six miles north of Camas, Washington. We get lots of rain and wind. On chimney was leaking badly causing damage to the ceiling in the basement. Jim Reynolds assessed the problem professionally and gave me a bid. The bid included sealing the outside of the chimney, a new crown, new caulking between the chimney and house, a new cricket because the old cricket was dry rotted, and new flashing. He did not want the work to be done in wet weather because he wanted the work to be done right. As soon as the weather broke the work was done. Very satisfied

Not sure which web site I found Chimcare on but when I called I spoke with a woman who was more than helpful, and she set up the appointment. The Technician Daniel came to my house in Oregon City, did a sweep, and added a new cap. I was very happy with the work. Daniel made suggestions for future chimney care and was very professional in the work he did. I would recommend this company.
