Billy Ross was raised in Compton, and as a child, he overcame insurmountable odds to become the first in his family to graduate college. His first career was in human services and social work, where he served underprivileged communities in and around Los Angeles.
I graduated from California State University at Fullerton, with a Bachelors of Degree in Human Services. I also attended Claremont Graduate University as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. After college, I worked in human services and helped underserved communities access critical resources in Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley.
