I was at a local hospital for 15 days and kept in bed for 11 days straight due to a fall and further complicated with breathing issues and fluid retention of my lower extremities. My situation was so severe, that I signed a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate Order). Arriving at Ballard changed all that!
Upon my arrival, the RN’s and CNA’s made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The head of my nursing team, Ruth, and her staff went the extra mile to answer my questions, and with dignity, assisted me with my medical and personal needs. With a push of a button, I can request help from my Nurse (RN) or Certified

My boyfriend had a traumatic brain injury after crashing his dirtbike and after the hospital he was moved here. I can't begin to describe how amazing this place is. The staff is super friendly and kind. They worked with my boyfriend several times a day in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. They we're always welcoming and understanding. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone with a family member in need of physical rehabilitation. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, therapists and staff who took such good care of my boyfriend ❤

So I have been here almost 2 weeks I am getting discharged tomorrow. My experience here at Ballard rehabilitation Hospital has been very uplifting. I use the word uplifting because I was involved in a motorcycle accident I’ve broke my pelvis and two places broke my left arm in three places and majorly fractured my right hand. I was ejected off my motorcycle distance to 50 feet so I’m not supposed to be alive. Needless to say I was already in the hospital for almost a month prior to coming to Ballard, so my spirits were not the highest at that time. I got here on a Saturday by Monday morning

This place was terrible when it comes down to the nursing, I fell of the bed the first day I was there, they are unorganized, especially when discharging a patient... you will not be prepared for any home care you will need unless you pressure them to provide the help by letting you know who to call and the contact information, nor will you have your outpatient facility ready to avoid having laps in your therapy. You would wait upon hours after asking for nurse care or any kind of help. There physical and occupational therapy is amazing and work hard with you to get the best results. But it is

Please avoid this place at all cost let me start by stating this place is unsafe for the patients the rooms are really hot nurses do NOT wear there protective gear to enter the room i spoke with kevin Burkin in regards of the ac issue and right away gave me a nasty attitude. The nurses are really unprofessional and rude specially lyn they all have a nasty attitude so if you really love your family member please look somewhere els. I will definitely be calling the medical board first thing in the morning this place need to be investigated.

I really appreciate the services provided to me here by the entire nursing and therapist staff. They’re very attentive, caring, and professional. Everyone here made sure I was taken well care of. I really enjoyed the meals that were given to me as well. They were always carefully planned out ahead of time by the nutrition department. They also have a well equipped gym facility for patient use. But the part I really admire most is their occupational and physical therapist staff. They’re very passionate about what they do for a living and dedicated to meeting their patients’ individual needs

On behalf of my father Ricardo Mejia, I am writing this review, we are beyond pleased with this facilities care and knowledge. I am beyond impressed with my father‘s progress due to an unforeseen Stroke that left my father paralyzed on his left side. We understand that each case is different but due to the stuff’s support and attentive care my father is now able to walk with cane assistance only and is able to complete normal life activities due to the wonderful & kind training of the staff.
My father has been at this facility for two weeks in patient care and will continue to do outpatient

I cannot speak any higher of Ballard Rehab! My wife was here for a month following a severe Ischemic stroke which left her unable to talk and her right side almost useless. We were treated with dignity and respect by EVERY single employee from Ray and Gary with security, Danielle, Natalie and the other young lady in reception, ALL of the nurses ( God bless all of you ladies! Yall were so completely awesome and kind! Thank you!) The PT team is EXCELLENT! Very knowledgeable and open to use new methods which totally impressed me! Speech Therapist is using new methods that I just read about a week

I had a serious head injury and I will say the environment here lead by Dr. Chen was so positive it made Me want to do whatever asked and more if I could. Very team oriented staff impressive to watch this well oiled team work together. The food was even good, I was able to gain some weight back after 7 nights of hospital. Special thanks to Eva, Emily and Tavin. I thank you all and wish everybody the best for the future. Roger

I was a little hesitant to come here after my surgery for inpatient therapy because of the reviews. However during my stay I had nothing but a good experience. All of the nurses, physical therapist and occupational therapist I encountered were extremely nice and very uplifting. I left with a more positive attitude and given great techniques to use at home. My only negative is that when I was discharged I had a hard time finding a pharmacy that had my pain meds in stock and felt Ballars could have helped a little more in helping me find a pharmacy because pharmacies would only give us info if we

I cannot say enough how horrified I am that this place is even acceptable as a business. It takes nurses hours to help a patient when they call. There are multiple serious complaints that I plan to take as high up as possible to ensure that every patient is treated properly. For obvious reasons I will not post them publicly at this time but when able will be updating. Protect your loved ones at all costs and try to avoid this place if possible.

I can say nothing but this place performs Miracles!!!!! I am so grateful for the work they do. We WAITED 9 months to finally get the Insurence to approve my Vietnam Veteran double amputee father in law to be able to go to Ballard acute rehabilitation hospital. Once he arrived there were no visitors (understandable with COVID-19). We spoke on the phone and after a week i could hear a difference in my FIL"s voice, he was talking about doing daily activities by himself and transferring by himself. I had to take him something about 2 weeks in and when i saw him i was dumbfounded and the difference

My father was here for 2 weeks to rehab from a concussion, broken vertebrae and ribs. My mother and I were here every day from 10-7. The nursing staff is mostly good - though there were days when they never even responded to my dad's call light for toilet help. I would say 2/3 nurses and CNAs were great. Though maybe they were responsive because we were there with eagle eyes? Stay vigilant, my friends. The PT staff and the gym facilities are remarkable. Why only 3 stars? My father caught *TWO* hospital infections here - his vein got infected from the IV and C-Diff. In fact, they knowingly

I was very pleased with the treatment my 83 year old grandfather receieved from Physcal Therapist, Alison, and her team. She was very patient and and kind with him, even though he does not understand English. She even asked how to say the words in Lao. I was very impressed and am so thankful that he's being treated well and recovering quickly.

If I could rate this place with zero stars I would. This place needs to be shut down. They staff is horribly RUDE!!!! they like to decide how care is handled and do not take anything you say under consideration. My mom came here after her stroke and it was the worse choice we have ever made. Please don't bring your loved one here unless you hate them. The staff treats and speaks to the patient like trash. My mom couldn't talk and was not able to move her right side and the way they handled her was unacceptable. I had to take a leave of absence to make sure I was there daily. This place

The worst patient & family communication ever! Your upper management needs a makeover! You are playing GOD. My mom,was ACCEPTED into your rehab program after 8 long months of he'll. Ballards was the last leg & last hope of my 76yr old mom's horrible bout of health issues including strokes... You were her only hope of ever STANDING & TRANSFERRING before returning home. Don't EVER tell a family YES..WE WILL,TAKE HER! & then the next day change your mind! What a heart breaker for my family. Now our options are exhausted & my poor mom comes home Sunday COMPLETELY

I am doing my rehab here for my total hip replacement. The Dr was very good at listening to my concerns. The therapist I worked with helped me while also helping two other clients. She did a very good job with me explaining how I was too exercise...while also taking care of the other clients. I would recommend this place for your rehab.
