The Diagnostic and Wellness Center in Torrance, California has distinguished itself as a pioneer in preventative and diagnostic imaging. We recognize that early detection can provide life-saving diagnosis and treatment. Our goal is to advance diagnostic imaging in the early detection of life-threatening conditions, while providing an environment allowing pain-free and minimally invasive procedures.
The Diagnostic and Wellness Center offers the latest in CT Scanning technology. We have a state of the art GE Revolution 256 scanner. Our CT Scanner is connected through a high-speed network to multiple workstations. Our workstations allows us to reconstruct images into multiple views that allows our Cardiologists and Radiologists to see different aspects of the specific anatomy that is scanned.
Each year about 1.5 million Americans will have a heart attack with absolutely no warning signs. For about half of those, the heart attack will be fatal. Our non-invasive CT angiogram procedure provides 3-D images of the heart so detailed that heart disease can be detected even at the earliest stages.
The Diagnostic and Wellness Center in the Division of Cardiology at Harbor-UCLA is using the most advanced imaging technology available, the coronary artery scan, to determine the presence and extent of the atherosclerotic process (plaque) in your coronary arteries. Coronary Artery Scanning (CAS) uses 256 Slice CT imaging of the coronary vessels without any injections, needles or removal of clothing.
Vascular CTA includes imaging the major arteries coming off the aorta supplying oxygenated blood to the head, neck, major organs in the abdomen, the arms and legs. CTA is an extremely fast, accurate and noninvasive method for evaluating patients with significant carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease (PAD), aortic aneurysms, and aiding in planning for possible stent grafting artery stenosis.
