I have been shopping at Clearing House for years-it is the best consignment shop in Charlotte. When it came time to downsize my home, they came to my rescue! Betty and her team are an amazing group of people to work with-friendly, professional, and helpful. They sold almost everything I consigned, made the entire process easy and I look forward to many more years of shopping and selling there.

We have some fine art for sale and were interested in using their consignment services. We called today to ask about these services. We said we were interested in learning about their consignment services. without hesitation or asking any questions, were told they were not interested and immediately hang up. How does a consignment place like this one operates then? This is beyond rude.

This is a neat consignment store. They weed out the crap that people bring for consignment and they only put out items worthy of resale. They have many antique items, home decor pieces, artwork, kitchenwares, serving pieces, vintage lighting, stemware, tableware, and other miscellaneous things of value.
The employees were friendly. They spoke to me as soon as I entered. The lady behind the register gave me a cool story about one of the items I was looking at.
The place is clean and well organized. Merchandise is well displayed and easily viewed. Art is hung so you can visualize what

I love this place. They have so many interesting items and they are getting new things every day. Of course the really good things go immediately so you have to go there frequently.
The last time I was there I found a BEAUTIFUL platter that matched my grandmother's Spode. They don't have just the usual antiques. I even found some Archie glasses that a young friend collects.
Some days you'll go there and see nothing you want. Two days later you fall in love with some candlesticks or a handmade old farmer's table. The people there are okay if you just look and don't buy

If you are looking for vintage/antique furniture that is curated well then look no further than Clearing House.
The owner and staff are very helpful and they don't take just anything. It is a bit crowded, but because they don't overload the space it is easy to look around and find your special something.
A nice collection and well worth perusing through for that perfect piece.

If you like "treasure" hunting in out-of-the-way places, then a trip to the Clearing House might be just what the doctor ordered. Although its location- on Central Avenue just past the Kings Drive/Independence overpass- hardly qualifies it as remote, the store (yes, it is an old one-story house) is easy to overlook. Once inside, however, you'll find it jam packed with a variety of items- furniture, china, silver, glass, artwork, lamps. You name it and they probably have it. One caveat: be prepared to pay. Although the pricing strategy is based on a scale that decreases monthly, the
