Excellent place to grab a bite to eat in downton Maynard. It has a large dining area and one can also eat at the bar. Overall friendly staff and a very relaxed and warm atmosphere. The food is excellent tasting and a good value for the money. We usually get the pork and beef sandwiches as well as the classic Vietnamese noodle bowls. Highly recommended!

Wonderful taste and service! Gigi is a very sweet lady. The bar area is perfect...Great bartender (Tracie) on Thursdays. Definitely get an app or two (Bah is perfect for colder days). The vermicelli dishes are wonderful...have had chicken and pork. Plenty of atmosphere throughout the place...outdoor dining too. Meters are off so park anywhere including the lot across the street.

Not a great dining experience. I wanted to order takeout, I could not order on their website, have to go in to do that - website has menu, and their phone line was busy. Got there, none of the staff was wearing masks, and one had to go all the way into the restaurant, past a bar and a bunch of others waiting there (all without masks).
Website says masks required (see photo).
I didn't order, so can't comment on the food. I'll try again if I can get through on the telephone - not otherwise.

I decided to try here because of rave reviews and I was super excited that I was able to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant/food closer to where I live. Unfortunately it didn't really meet my expectations...
Fresh rolls: the skin/wrap was already ripped when I received my order, but it wasn't too bad, I would rate 3/5
Crispy rolls: pretty good, 4/5
Vietnamese crepe: this was my favorite dish out of my whole order, the flavor was there! 5/5
Beef banh mi: this was a huge disappointment, there was not enough pickled veggies, as you can see in the photo, there was none visible

This is a wonderful hidden gem in Maynard! This is a wife and husband ownership duo and they are the kindest people. Gigi runs the front of house and her husband is the chef. It's a very cute and well decorated restaurant and it's VERY clean and well kept. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. Anyone who writes a negative review about the food is simply lying. I've had tons of phô soup throughout the years and Gigi's is one of the best. You can tell the recipes are made with care and everything is fresh.

The hostess was rude she said to try an American restaurant when we asked if the plates come in combination style or if everything is sold separately. My family and I felt insulted by that statement. She than began to rush us to get our order and was very aggressive. When we got our food, which we should have left from the beginning but the kids were hungry, everything was Lukewarm and salty.

My wife is Vietnamese and I am always on the hunt for a good traditional Banh Mi, especially in New England. Unfortunately Dorchester is just a bit to far to drive for a bread roll.
The prohibitive opening hours for lunch have made it frustrating for me to find time to get there. Today was the day and I was excited.
I have a young child so I arrived at opening time of 1130am and the first bad sign was that what I gather to be the chef was still pushing produce through the front door. I was taken to my seat and after seating my boy in his high chair and about to sit myself

The food at Gigi's is very good and it feels so fresh. Everything is made at site, so you know you are having good quality food. Something that I really liked was that Gigi told us that they did not use any MSG, which is not usual in Asian restaurants.
The service is very good, and the menu is very varied. There are very good vegan and vegetarian options, so that was a very good thing for me. There is gluten free option for almost all the plates in the menu.
I really recommend the avocado spring rolls, they are so fresh and so tasty.
In all, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
