It all started with a dream. Thomas Thomas (yes, that's his real name) and his two brothers got a crazy itch to start Louisville's first automated car wash. They invested in some property on the corner of Baxter & Broadway in Louisville, KY, starting the 1st automatic car wash in the state, South and one of the first in the nation.

Services
What's the difference between a Full Service Car Wash, an Express Car Wash, and Detailing?. While every wash at Thomas Car Wash ends with great results, each of our locations has a few unique features. We have two different types of car washes. One is called Full Service, the other is called an Express Car Wash.
At this location, we offer exterior-only cleaning, along with FREE self-serve vacuums with any wash. You'll be able to choose which wash you like, enjoy the wash from inside your vehicle, and use any of our self-serve vacuum lanes to clean the interior of your car. If you wash your car more than twice a month, we encourage you to activate an Unlimited Wash Plan with us! Pay once a month, wash your car as much as you like.
Our Unlimited Wash Club is a quick and convenient way to keep your car shining all the time! It's everything you love about getting your car washed in a simple monthly plan. Unlimited Car Wash Plans save you money! On average, we see our Thomas Car Wash customers save between $240 to $540/year when they sign up for an unlimited car wash plan.
If you're looking to join a team where everyone is committed to delivering a quality wash and superior customer experience, as well as offering strong benefits and long-term growth, you've come to the right place. We are looking for friendly, encouraging people who enjoy serving customers, engaging with others and learning a variety of tasks.
Thomas Car Wash offers your organization a fun & engaging way to reach its fundraising goals with our "Wash Ticket Program." You will purchase as many single-wash tickets as you'd like for $10/each (retail $20). You can then sell them at your next fundraiser for your organization for $20/wash.
You will keep all the proceeds, and if you have any extra washes left over, you can return them for a refund of $10/ticket! (expires a month after fundraiser ends).Wouldn't it be great if you could raise money for your favorite cause or organization without having to make posters, jump up and down on the side of the road, get a terrible sunburn that peels off for the rest of the summer?

I LOVE this place & come here every week with my monthly $35 ez-pass.😊
Each employee that I have ever encountered has been kind, courteous, friendly and hardworking. There is always someone around making sure things are working properly, processes are moving smoothly and keeping the place clean.
4 stars.
If they supplied microfiber towels and had mini air compressors at each vac station, (even if just for the monthly members) such as Cheetah Wash does for everyone. I would give them 10 stars.
Those air compressors really make a difference.

Overall my car washes have been good. There are two things that are desk breakers at this specific location . The first one is that there's a curve you have to pull in to get into the car wash. In that curve is where you have to line up your wheels on the track. I've seen many people scrape up their rims included my own. It's happened to me twice and every car in front of me scraped their rims. Another downfall are their vacuums. They aren't powerful enough.

Had the monthly $35 service for awhile and decided to change to the $25 service, they said they would refund me a portion of the fee from changing to lower service- never recieved it. Came in and was told I would get it but never did, called again and was told no I wouldn’t get it. Said I wanted to cancel the service completely and they still took the monthly fee anyway. Called again and was now told I have to come in to get it. Too much bs.

First time here and wasn’t impressed. My car wasn’t extremely dirty but i thought I’d go through a wash to make it sparkle And remove some highway dirt.
I thought I’d have a great wash as I haven’t ever seen any local places spray your car prior to the wash.
Paid for the ultimate and it did nothing.
Still dirt on my trunk lid, that came off with a towel after I left the wash :(
Tires had brake dust still left all over them.
Tire shine did not stick to tires.
Dog drool was still left on my exterior car window as well.

I feel like it's not normal to be super rah rah about a car wash, but I left really impressed with Thomas Car Wash.
Here's what stood out to me from my experience yesterday:
* Despite having a long line of cars, considering it was one of the first nice days after recent rains and leaves falling, everything moved through pretty fast.
* This was partly helped by the fact that there was an attendant helping guests choose their washes on the automated machines.
* And then when I pulled around, there were two more attendants getting extra leaves and gunk off cars with spray hoses before

The Audi dealer said I can use a car wash like this every day and not hurt my convertible top. I pay $20 per month for all the above basic washes I want, normally $10 per wash. Really nice to slide through the payment gate with little interference. My wife and I only use one of several Thomas Car washes. I don't work there and don't know anyone who does.

This is one of the best car washes that I've ever used. There are a bunch of different options but what I like is the most expensive one which is $20 because they use some sort of laser dry and you don't have to get out and hand dry your car. In New York City they typically would have people hand-dry your car after the machine wash but I never saw that anywhere else. That's why it's great that they're automatic wash can really get your car dry. Or you can get the cheaper wash option and then there's plenty of space to pull over and vacuum your car and dry it off.

I honestly wasn't a big fan. While it got my car clean, I didn't think the vacuums had very good suction. My car did get clean which was the main goal. I just wouldn't come here all the time. The car wash itself felt really rough on my car. I will say the guys pre washing & spraying my car were friendly & really did a good job.

I have gone to Thomas Car Wash for years and have always considered them my favorite car wash. Until recently. On 6/24/20 as my car was moving through the the first segment of the car wash (where the big heavy cloth strips slap your car back and forth with suds), from inside the car I felt like something was being violently pulled off my car. From inside I could feel the car "pull" in a certain way and I heard lots of loud banging. But I assumed it was the car wash getting my car "extra clean". As I continued moving through the tunnel in the car wash I saw what looked like

Best car wash in town!!! Sunday evening was a busy time here. But the staff handled it well and got everyone in and out. My only complaint is the big huge red balls they have to guide you in the right track are way to close. I seen a F150 have a hard time getting around the curve. The lady in front of actually put her car in reverse and almost hit me to move out of his way. But other than that the car wash washes my car great every time. Theres different levels of washes you can get. I got the $15 wash which includes the works and a self serve vacuum when finished. Theres also a machine for washing

I'd venture to guess that anytime we spend a ridiculous $15 to get a car wash that's not the $5 basic, we expect--at a minimum-- no damage done and a clean exterior and well vacuumed interior upon completion.
I've been a monthly pass customer in the past of the larger other Thomas Car Wash on Bardstown Rd but don't get to that part of town routinely. I used to frequent whatever this car wash was named prior to Thomas Carwash taking it over, & never had a single problem with the $3-$5 car washes under the former owner.
I am not the type to expect a kid grime laden

Good automatic car wash, with free vaccuming. Can't beat the price. I do the monthly all-you-can-wash service on both my cars. I chose the $24.95/mo. option. A local competitor charges $41 - $49/mo. for same type of service. My only suggestion is to create more locations around Louisville. Great value.
