This was my third or fourth trip to The Porches, and it never disappoints. Things were scaled back because of covid ( no sauna facilities), but it was still an enchanted getaway. With an outdoor hot tub and heated outdoor pool The Porches always offers some mid winter fun. After soaking, building a campfire and watching the stars is a great way to unplug and wind down for the evening. This is a relaxed inn that offers luxury without stuffiness.

We stayed at the Porches Inn for the weekend of our wedding in August, as did several of our wedding guests. We had quite a few discussions with staff leading up to our stay, and they were very helpful in answering our many questions.
We really enjoyed our stay and even got to take some nice wedding photos on the grounds. The rooms are very unique and also comfortable. Our families particularly enjoyed the outdoor spaces, including the pool. We are looking forward to staying there again!

Porches is a sweet historic building, full of quirky and interesting decor. Our bed was very comfortable. The property is cute, with a fire pit, pool, and hot tub. It's fun to be right across the street from MOCA. The hiking in the area is excellent. There are several very good restaurants in the area. Thus, we really enjoyed our brief vacation.
I gave Porches 3/5 rating because there are a few things that detract, which the website doesn't tell you: a) The street outside of Porches is busy, so sitting on the porches out front is not relaxing as you would like; b) The building isn't sound proofed

The hotel itself was nice, the location is great, the rooms were quirky and well maintained. We enjoyed our breakfast and the pool area. The issue we had was that our daughter contracted hot tub folliculitis from being in the hot tub for approximately two minutes. The hotel has assured me they maintain the hot tub well and deep clean it weekly but here we are.

We stayed in the green building for my birthday weekend. It was one of the worst nights that I've had in a while. The bed rumbled from an unseen nonstop ac unit. There was road noise all night. There was nothing complimentary. I had to ask for coffee. The fridge wasn't big enough to keep takeout leftovers. This place is REALLY a motor lodge/motel with beds 30 feet from the busy road.
An added star for the gazebo out back.

We were there last weekend, late on the review, From literally the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we felt so welcomed. like we were in the right place. The staff was so helpful and so nice, we immediately were happy with where we were.
thank you to the reception, to the landscapers, to the breakfast people, to the cleaners, It takes a village to make that place amazing, and you.all did it.! (**The late night receptionist really was THE one, who was there twice, who made it feel like home.)

I have had many wonderful memories here. As everyone has made clear already this place is top notch, clean, full of quality and second to none; and considering our insane experience at “tourists” this is the obvious spot to stay. It’s not 5 stars for two reasons. I guess number one would be how crazy expensive it is with a close second of: if I stay at a hotel this expensive I expect the front desk / concierge to have a few small things in stock should anything unexpected come “up” ... Well the one time they could have really come through for me they didn’t. That was a few years back

Nice place to stay in North Adams. So convenient to Mass moca (it's literally right across the street!). We stayed in a suite with microwave, toaster oven, sink, mini bar, small fridge AND a washer dryer! Makes traveling during COVID so easy!
The gas fireplace was amazing to have during cold days and nights. The decor is quirky with retro touches. Not for everyone, and I'm sure some people won't get it. I like that its NOT like every other cookie cutter hotel chain.
Staff is courteous and friendly.
There is a small hiking trail up the mountain behind the hotel.

It's March 13, 2020 and though we have talked with the management of this inn about the issues of a 69 year old with heart issues and 70 year old with compromised immune system and asthma, the management absolutely refuse to refund.
Grasping our $$ they deigned to roll the reservation to May...maybe later, but the reason we wanted to be there was NOW and not just some random drive an hour from home.
It's a sin that this is allowed. But given their greedy policy, I don't recommend them. When Broadway, NBA and NCAA etc are shutting down and nearby MASS Moca canceling events...this

Honestly, I was kinda disappointed. We booked a room in the sage building because we have a dog. Our headboard was fabric covered and had a sheet pinned onto it.....I guess it was dirty or stained under there. But there was a layer of dust and fur on the top of the headboard and it's pinned on sheet. There was a layer of dust and fur under the bed. These 2 things totally grossed me out. For $250 a night, I expect a clean room. It was gross.
Also one of the grounds keepers felt it necessary to run the weed whacker @ 8:15am just outside our room......not a great way to wake up on vacation

Stayed here 2 nights in the building with the reception area / dining room located downstairs. The noise was the biggest drawback. The door and walls were so thin you could here everything going on downstairs which included breakfast prep in the morning, loading and unloading all day via the side door, plus all the cars driving buy the busy street directly in front.
Pros: friendly staff, very nice bathroom, can't beat location to MassMoca
Cons: really noisy in this particular building, bulky key + access card combo to access room/ pool

This place is an ideal hotel if you are visiting this area. There is a continental breakfast that includes things such as coffee, croissants, and muffins. There is a pool and a hot tub, as well as a sauna. Each room has a TV with an AppleTV hooked up to it. A mini-fridge can be provided among request. Warning to people who are allergic to cats, there is a cat in the main building (or wherever the check in desk is).

We had a mostly good experience at the Porches. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location and amenities were also very nice. However the building is very loud and resonant so our moderately loud neighbors woke us up very early. We also never had our complimentary breakfast brought up to our room as was offered. The room and experience were satisfactory overall but unsure if I would stay there again.

Came here at the last minute because our first hotel was a dump, and we needed a dog-friendly place to stay.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. The staff is the nicest I've ever met, and the hotel is kept immaculate. There is a Chargepoint in the parking lot, so we can charge our car overnight. (Make sure you install Chargepoint on your phone to activate the charger!)
The hotel will provide a kennel in the room on request, which is great for walking downtown for dinner.
I was able to pull my car up right up to the door to take everything in. My family is bad at packing

Porches is the coolest! We came here as a group of nine for my mom's 70th birthday. We all split up into 3 rooms - a 2 bedroom, lofted suite, a 1 bedroom suite, and the deluxe king suite. All the rooms were fabulous! Each suite had a pull out couch for additional space (if you needed it). The bathrooms are beautiful, clean white marble. We had a separate shower and tub in our bathroom and the shower head was one of those rain-like shower heads. It was so lovely!
The heated pool and hot tub are open 24/7 and are situated next to a nice "pool house" with a large gathering space and

A wonderful place to stay when you are visiting the amazing cultural resources of North Adams in Western MA. Hotel rooms are carved out of Victorian houses, retaining much of the charm but with upscale amenities. We were lucky to have a suite with kitchenette and even the coffee was local and excellent.
Adorable and artsy and convenient, with a 24h pool and hot tub. Great continental breakfast and pop up bar in the charming central lounge with fireplace, where if you like you can mingle with other guests and smile at the kitty, Sabine.
Best service, reasonable prices, super quality place to

28 of us gathered at The Porches Inn for a two night family reunion and it couldn't have gone better! Staff was outstanding, breakfast amazing, rooms were clean, and the funky ambiance was loved by all ages. We were able to "take over" Building #7 for a crazy game of charades & pizza and cooled off in the adjacent pool. Tons of activities in the area too.

We had such a great first experience here. My husband and I stayed a night here and truly enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly, the king room with the porch + updated bathroom was perfect. I even got to enjoy the beautiful bathtub while we sipped on champagne the room provided us with (extra charge)
The sauna and pool are 24 hours, which we did enjoy.
I really have no complaints!
We do plan on coming again with our pup (yes! Dog + cat friendly!) and with my stepson, he'd absolutely enjoy the 24 hour heated pool.

This place is amazing! Definitely stay here if you are visiting MASS MoCA- it's right across the street. It's adorable. Several old houses connected by porches with a 24/7 pool, hot tub, and sauna.
In general, it is the cutest little place. In the reception area, they have a pop up bar with local beer, wine, and spirits, a fireplace, and tons of board games to play. Also, coffee, tea, and cookies are out all the time. In the morning you can have breakfast delivered to your room, or eat in the dining room. They have delicious muffins and pastries, as well as cereals, yogurt, hard boiled
