We stayed one night at Mount Royal Inn while visiting North Adams with our dog. Front desk staff were friendly at check in and the rooms were spacious and nice. It doesn't look too great from the outside, but the rooms were plenty nice. Fairly spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Perfect for one night with the dog. It's right on the highway so easy access to North Adams and the Berkshires. And budget friendly. I would stay here again if visiting the area with the dog.

I give this place 5 stars all day long!
I grew up in North Adams (lived here 30 years) and this place used to be a dirty roach motel. However, it's under new ownership and has been renovated and is super cute!

Doesn't look like much from the outside but our room was clean and comfortable. It was also affordable which is what I needed. Our room had all kinds of conveniences, including a fridge & microwave. Most budget places don't have those.
We've already booked our room here for when we return for Thanksgiving. Will definitely be back

The room was nice and. The price wasn't crazy high but there was a leak in the sink in the bathroom that created a dangerous pool of water to walk in aswell as the sink being clogged but when I told them about it he came over only drained the water in the sink by moving the center peice some which just drained temporarily but fixed nothing and did nothing about the leak.

The room was spotless, comfortable, well appointed with mini fridge microwave coffee maker hairdryer, good quality pilllows and bedding, very accommodating owners who were kind and friendly.
The outside does not match the inside, don’t let that deter you. It was noisy due to the road right outside the motel.
We would for sure recommend and stay again. Excellent value, short drive to mass moca and downtown area (7 minutes). The stay exceeded our expectations.

From the outside it looks old and run down but the rooms are well furnished and nicely maintained. It was a bargain for the rate they were charging. My only complaint is the noise from the main road its on. Its a good place to spend the night if you are skiing at places like Berkshire East or Jiminy Peak.

I need to say that I didn’t actually stay here. I am an incredibly light sleeper and this motel is on a main road. I asked to see the room and it was very clean and comfortable but I was too worried road noise may be an issue so I ultimately stayed somewhere else. The owners(?) were very kind and the rooms were very nice for the price point. I would recommend staying there and I can guarantee 99% of visitors will have no issues with the road noise.

Very nice location in the Berkshires. Good distance to things like the MOCA and other museums. I wish I stayed in any other season as I'm sure that mountain view is amazing when not covered by snow!
The room was very good. Loved the bed - so comfortable. Three bottles of water in the fridge was a nice touch. Didn't try the microwave but the fridge worked well. The bathroom was great. I loved the walk in shower. Very clean all around.
Only two complains would be the television is so far from the bed that it made watching difficult. And, probably my biggest complaint, there were lights

I guess you get what you pay for. I found beard hair in the sink and vanity. The bed was super soft to the point of uncomfortable. The traffic noise is constant and seems so close like it's running through the parking lot. The walls are thin. We heard the cell phone ringing in the next room and the floors creaked above us.
It appears they are trying to keep up the rooms. The rest of the room was clean and keep up.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The location was bleak but convenient to local attractions. A couple good restaurants in the area.
