Paradise Family Healthcare is a family and internal medicine practice in a small retirement community in Venice, Florida on the Gulf Coast. The majority of our patients are seniors, but we also treat patients from 12 and up. We stay accessible to our patients so we can address their concerns and answer their questions.
We provide same day appointments when possible. We emphasize prevention and recommend annual preventative exams to screen for things like diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. It's easier to maintain good health than to restore it. We perform cancer screening including pap and breast exams, colorectal exams, and skin exams to find cancers early so they can be cured.

Services
Preventive health physicals. We look at the patient's entire state of health to determine what kind of screening might be appropriate. Ex: colon cancer screening, breast cancer screening, prostate cancer screening. These are for high school students needing a physician to sign off so they can participate in sports.
Below is the information allowing you to complete your DOT Medical Exam quickly and easily. Same day appointments are often available. We have two FMCSA Certified Medical Examiners on staff. We are located in Venice, Florida, with lots of parking space for your big rig, if needed. If you are a smoker and over the age of 35, please let us know when you make the appointment.
Obese individuals consume an estimated 40% more health care dollars compared to non-obese individuals. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. I see Dr Pamela Miller whom I am so happy with. She is kind and upbeat. Always has a smile. Her nurse is also very helpful. They spend time asking you questions about your health and any issues you are having. Dr Miller does not rush you. Explains everything in detail. All the staff is wonderful. A wonderful practice

The staff at Paradise Family Healthcare are simply exceptional! I had a recent major healthcare issue arise and the front office staff got me in right away. Everyone was so kind and they genuinely seem to care about their patients. I was given the best care possible and the office staff even went above and beyond to make sure that I got everything I needed (outside referrals, authorizations for those services, and follow up appointments.)

Dr. Pamela Miller will not disappoint you if you are new to this area or to her practice. I relocated to Venice from Iowa and had no idea who or what to take over my primary health care. Dr. Miller and her nurse Donna spent OVER an hour going over my situation and actually examining me. I would give Dr. Pamela Miller more than 5 stars if I could. When I tell you “she gets it” ... she gets it. I am old and know when someone is rushing. Me and my family have been seeing Dr. Miller for many years and really appreciate the care we’ve gotten from him and his staff. It feels more like family than a Dr office. I have been a patient here for over a year and these are truly the BEST people. Dr.Miller and Vanessa the NP are both kind, caring, and understanding. They treat you like family and will go above and beyond. All of the front desk staff and nurses are always pleasant and helpful. This is how healthcare should be. If you want to feel like somebody actually cares then this is place you are looking for.
