Bear Valley Bikes was founded in 1995. The shop and team are constantly growing and advancing. The shop has developed a strong ascension with racing and the club. Our mechanics are dedicated to pushing the envelope on what is mechanically possible for athletes and constantly working to evolve the mechanics of the sport.
Bear Valley Bikes is a full service bike shop, which means you can rent from us, or we can fix your bike, find the part you're looking for, or just pick up some last-minute gear or trail maps. We are a year round bike shop! While we don't hang around all the time when there is snow on the ground, you can call us and make an appointment and we'll be here to hang out, service your ride, or whatever you need!
A fatbike is a bicycle with over-sized tires, typically 3.7 or larger that are designed for riding on soft unstable terrain such as snow and sand. These bikes are built around frames with large forks and stays to accommodate the wide rims required to fit these tires. These bikes come with bigger travel.

I heard about Berd Spokes about a year ago and was intrigued by the reinvention of the spoke with something lighter/stronger than steel. Always looking for the next cool thing, I decided to have my older set (circa 2010) of Hed Jet 4 wheels rebuilt with with the Berd spokes and they have not disappointed! The wheels spin up faster than ever, look fantastic and I feel like they even dampen some of the road vibration/bumps better than my old school spokes ever did.

BERD spokes are AMAZING! I've been riding on BERD spokes for more than 2 years. I have two sets of wheels with BERD spokes - one MTB set and one fat bike set. I've beat these things through many off road races and training rides through mud, snow, rain, heat, cold, you name it, and they have held up without issue. BERD spokes are the pinnacle of spoke technology combining the lightest weight with the highest strength which was unheard of before BERD spokes came along. Yeah its a little weird to ride on spokes you can tie in a knot, but you won't regret lacing up your next set of wheels with these
