Services
Selah Counseling Services, a non-profit counseling center in the Foothills, is designed to guide and nurture teens, children and their parents as they seek to embrace and sustain connection within themselves, with God and with others. Our staff and the professionals behind the scenes at our staff are an exciting group of dynamic and committed individuals who work as a team to meet the needs of the community.
Have you ever felt so down or lifeless inside, like you're sometimes not even sure you really exist? Are you feeling stuck with moods, behaviors or habits that you cannot seem to break? Has your life been interrupted with circumstances beyond your control? Have you had other people speak to you about habits they want you to change, but you just cannot seem to do it on your own?
One of our highest priorities at Selah Counseling Services is offering individuals a safe, professional, and supportive environment to address life's challenges. What you can expect from individual therapy sessions at here is an open approach to working through issues directly associated with how you function as an individual in relationships.
It isn't that you would want to give up anyone or anything you are loving and taking care of - It's just somehow - in all of the giving - the you once known has disappeared. You are wondering if it is possible to be fully alive while you are meeting all of the obligations in your life. After all - some of the "obligations" are people you love - They are not "obligations" - They are people you are grateful for in your life.
Selah Counseling Services provides practical parenting classes and seminars especially designed and selected for our community. We support you in the parenting process (whether a parent, a step-parent or a grandparent) because we know you are on the frontline - loving and guiding your child into becoming a successful adult.

DO NOT USE THESE COUNSELORS FOR ANYTHING! Margy was my daughter's counselor. At first I thought she was good until I noticed no matter what I was the bad parent. Even with proof of everything I brought up she still ask me if I was on drugs during a session because of my anxiety being so bad. A little background I got a DUI in 2013 for drugs and everyone still assumes I'm using when I tell them I'll pass any test you give me they change the subject. Well my daughter delt with mental and physical abuse in her other parents home and CPS failed to do anything to protect her, allowed

Kate Peiper is a colleague of mine and I am happy to recommend her services to others. She has many years of experience and always presents herself as both professional and kind. She is able to keep a cool head when things get heated or tough, a skill that is crucial in her complex work with families and couples.

We obtained several counseling sessions from Kate Piper at this place of business. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID AND GO TO HER. She misdiagnosed what doctors and physiatrists clearly saw immediately and blamed us the parents for the mental problems of our child. She was explosive, demeaning and highly unprofessional. I am told by others that went to her that she threw a weight loss book at the wife in a couples session and said "why are you fat? Read this book."
