3M Sun Control Window Films are designed to help reduce the amount of solar heat transmission through window glass by increasing the solar reflection (not necessarily visible reflection) and solar absorption through the glass. Typical colored or dyed films work primarily through increased absorption.

From Mike the new owner to James Donahue i could not be more satisfied with the whole process. I needed my home windows tinted to reduce the heat coming into the home to needing some privacy at the same time. the 3M product they suggested absolutely ! does the job !! they were priced very reasonably and Mike the owner came out to do the job himself. Mike was very professional & polite. along with James Donahue who came out to meet me and show the 3M product and the benefits of the film. I would recommend Apex Window films to my friends and family.

We initially used George years ago in 2006 to install privacy window film on our production facility. We also installed our own film thinking that it would cut some costs and last. The film we installed lasted maybe a couple of years and there were indications of substandard installation, in which the film George installed lasted until we move out this past year and showed that it was professionally installed and better quality. You get what you pay for…..
Moving forward to our new facility and the memory of the quality and craftsmanship of the previous film installation, there was no question

I am sad to say service is poor unless you have the cash.
They said they could only do the install before 5 pm, so I waited 2-3 weeks to set an appointment for June 29th, as I was off work that day with family visiting. They left a message the day before and said they had a "big job to complete" and would touch base with me after the 4th of July.
Well ... today is July 26th and this is the first I have heard since! I got an email today asking for me to rate their service!?!? Really?
Obviously the big jobs matter and the small ones fall through the cracks!

APEX was able to solve a problem which had us puzzled - our new vinyl siding melted. The siding manufacturer asked if we'd installed new windows - yes - and stated the newer windows reflect the sun. The folks at APEX had definitely heard of this phenomenon and had a cost effective solution. The windows look great. The service was outstanding. The installation was precise and he was on time. I would highly recommend recommend APEX. We even added additional windows that were not causing problems since the features of the film go beyond sun reflection damage.

We are only 7 weeks in but the service and the results were both wonderful. George's experience was evident in his installation. So far - we are extremely happy and feel that our hardwood and furniture are both protected. Incidentally, my Dermatologist was delighted that we were doing this as it will also help protect my skin!

Apex Window Films does an excellent job! Everyone that I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The installation crew is excellent and left the project clean upon completion. Information on care and maintenance was provided right away so we are aware how we should care for our beautifully installed product.
