Great food, great service, great ambiance. Not too loud, very cozy. My Scallops with risotto was excellent and so was the Pork tenderloin dish my wife had. Will definitely go again.

Made reservation and confirmation 3 weeks in advance for a table on first floor. Got there and was told there was not a request to be seated on first floor. 2nd floor tends to feel cold during winter 😒. Food and service is good in general, but very disappointed they did not honor my original request.

Matt's has always been a very consistent restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is good. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is because I think the prices are getting a little out of hand. I recently went there with my wife and another couple and the meal for 4 was over 300! And that did not included drinks. I think for a casual restaurant that is very expensive and would make me not want to go there very often. The food was good, the service was excellent and the price was too high.

This was our first time at this restaurant, and it won't be our last! I tried the chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My husband had the filet and both meals were delicious. We had the bread pudding and the waffle Sunday for dessert. They were good but just one would have been enough!

Great meal. We started with the deviled eggs and pork belly. Both were excellent. We had the stuffed pork chop and the cowboy ribeye for entrees. Both were outstanding. The pork was perfectly cooked and stuffed with cheddar, onions and bacon. Great combination. Steak was tender and nicely cooked. For dessert a had the peanut butter bomb, the bread pudding and the special: homemade waffle with chocolate Gelato and whipped cream. All the were delicious, but the special really stood out.

When we moved to Flemington two years ago, we've been dying to try Matt's Red Rooster. We finally had a chance and ordered pickup for our anniversary dinner. We have a 2 year 8 month old son so dining is difficult lately. When I placed the order I mentioned how excited we were to try it and that it was our anniversary dinner. Matt's Red Rooster went above and beyond by placing "Happy Anniversary" tags on our dessert! That was very thoughtful! I ordered the Cowboy Rob Eye medium rare with red potato mashed and mixed vegetables which was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the Halibut special. We also

Wonderful experience. Mary was our server and explained everything well. There were a few specials that I order the cowboy steak from. The flat bread was tasty but not my thing as the 'bread' is more like a large cracker. Not bad, I just prefer softer. The cowboy steak was fantastic. Cooked medium rare as requested. As I cannot eat spinach the chef produced a great medley of crunchy zucchini slices, yellow and green that was great. Even though very busy we did not feel rushed on our 6pm reservation. To finish the coffee was really good. Quite a few desert choices. The bread pudding although presented

I was a bit disappointed with my experience here. The house is nicely decorated and the service was good. But trying to be very professional can sometimes be a bad thing. You don't feel the warmth you expect to be comfortable. The formula needs to be improved... On tbe food side, my appetizer was very salty and this is not good. My main course was better but very heavy. While it is a BYOB , the do offer wines from the local Unionville winery. I had what was supposed to be their best bottle and with no surprise to me it was not up to par o the price tag nor the taste someone expects from a Pinot

Very nice place for dinner. The chef delivers a terrific menu, fresh and fancy. The steaks are grilled very well. The seafood is succulent and the duck is tasty. The ABC starter is a wonderful opener. No corkage fee is a pleasant surprise (for non-locals like me). The service is friendly, helpful and attentive. A wonderful dinner experience for travelers and locals alike.
