The American Physical Therapy Association reports that back pain is the most common type of pain across the United States. In fact, one out of every four Americans has experienced back pain in the past three months. Back pain typically develops as the result of an injury or muscle strain, but it can sometimes be difficult to determine whether it is general back pain or sciatica.
Do you have trouble sitting up straight in your chair at work, tilting your head down to tie your shoes, or even lying down at night to go to sleep? Your neck is an important part of your body, and you use it several times a day for everyday movements. Therefore, any painful sensations can make even the simplest day-to-day functions difficult.
Shoulder pain can present itself in a number of ways. You may feel it when you're reaching to the top shelf to grab a glass or when you can't seem to get comfortable at night, no matter how you try to adjust your sleeping position. Shoulder pain may occur as a result of an injury, leaving you with an immobile shoulder.
It is no secret that hip and knee pain can cause serious limitations to your daily life. These limitations are even further exaggerated if you are dealing with both. Fortunately, physical therapy is a safe, easy, and comfortable way to diagnose and provide relief for hip and knee pain. In fact, it may even eliminate your need for pain-management drugs or surgery.

I contacted Motion Works after experiencing significant back pain for several weeks. They responded within just a few hours and got me in for an appointment right away. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to immediately pinpoint the area that needed attention and focus on the most effective course of treatment.
Within just a few weeks I felt 100% better and was able to resume normal activity, including a rigorous yoga training schedule. Hopefully I won’t need PT in the near future, but if I do, Motion Works will be my first call!

I cannot say enough good things about Motion Works. Katie was my PT and was so knowledgeable and helpful. She figured out the root cause of my pain almost immediately where doctors missed it, and helped me get to work quickly on exercises to get it in check. On top of that, the clinic is peaceful and friendly. I give her and Motion Works my highest recommendation!

I went to Motion Work with Frozen Shoulder. The pain was getting worse and the motion was getting more and more restrained.
On the very first day, Mike took time to understand what was going on and then laid out the plan for me. Explained the possibilities and plan for each of those possibilities.
Two months, a cortisone injection and around 12 sessions later, day before yesterday Mike told me I no longer need more sessions. My motions are now almost back to normal and pain is just a memory now.
As good as end result was, the journey was equally pleasant. Very clean and regularly sanitized environment

I have seen Mike on two separate occasions over the past 2 or 3 years. Both times, Mike and his support staff have been phenomenal. Besides Mike’s expertise, what I love most is the small office and the one-on-one attention Mike gives from start to finish. He has also given me exercises to do at home which will continue to help my arm/elbow get stronger. I would highly recommend Mike and Motion Works Physical Therapy.

I would 100% recommend Mike at Motion Works. He was understanding, personable, professional and knowledgeable. He listened to me which was key. Along my road to recovery Mike was honest and transparent about where I stood and how much more treatment I would need. Now, 10 months later, my arm is completely recovered and I have full range motion. I would definitely return to Motion Works.

Mike has incredible clinical skills and a compassionate, supportive attitude in helping people work through their rehab. I knew during my first appointment that he was invested in my recovery. Throughout the process he has continued to test my physical limits and encourage even the small steps forward. I will say that following his protocol and doing the exercises at home every day makes all the difference. You cannot go to PT once or twice a week and expect to get miraculous results - you have to own your rehab. So, if you're ready to do the work and are looking for a partner to help you get there
