In August of 1993, Tom and Teresa Kincaid opened the doors to their brand new assisted living facility, a vision that began as a sketch on a napkin. Caremoor Retirement Center was built on family land that Teresa's grandparents, W.L. and Ruth Overcash, originally operated as a dairy farm. Teresa grew up on the land spending time with her beloved grandparents.
Caremoor Assisted Living and The Carriage House Family Care Home and Apartments offer enhanced care. Our assisted living facilities provide daily meals, housekeeping services, and help with day-to-day living activities. Residents who require around-the-clock care for acute or chronic illnesses should seek their physician's advice in choosing the right facility.
Caremoor Retirement Community is located in the heart of Cabarrus County, just minutes from Interstate 85 on Kannapolis Parkway and only a half-hour from Uptown Charlotte. We are conveniently located near major shopping and dining destinations in both Concord and Kannapolis.

Adults that want the comfort of home, with the added benefit of around-the-clock care and medication management will enjoy the Carriage House Family Care Apartments. These apartments have the same layout as the independent living apartments; however, the six units are fully-licensed so that medications can be provided, residents may be assisted with bathing, and a staff member is present for any resident need.
Independent living apartments are perfect for adults that do not need assistance with activities of daily living or medication management, but want freedom from the upkeep of a lawn and large house. At LaMoor, residents have a private apartment with a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, and living room.

Caremoor has the most amazing, caring, professional health care workers I have ever encountered!!! They were way ahead of the COVID 19 epidemic.
Both of my parents have been residents there for the last 4 years and the administration and staff are always handling their needs! I would highly recommend this nursing home for any family!

My husband’s grandmother began her stay at Caremoor after suffering a stroke, which required round the clock medical care.
The staff took great care of her and we were extremely pleased with the level of care she received, both medically and socially. They treat all of their residents like family and often have celebrations for holidays, birthdays, and other occasions.
The facility has always been spotless, including the dining/kitchen area. The food was great and met all of our dietary guidelines.
You can tell the staff at Caremoor genuinely care about their residents.

My mother in law needed more than we could give her, we decided to take her to Caremoor and never one time did we worry about her. She had the most knowledgeable staff caring for her. The cleanest place, the food was amazing and she was a picky eater, she felt so at home. It’s so important to know your loved ones are loved at Caremoor. Don't look no further if your loved one means as much to you as my mother in law meant to us because Caremoor deserves 10 stars.

My friend lives here so I can' go into details because I don't want my friend to suffer repercussions. I would never put my loved one here. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of one is because the place is clean & doesn't smell. The times I've been there the food looks cheap & canned. This place has the same problems all assisted living/nursing homes have. All I can hope is that karma gets the scumbags who treat old people poorly.

This was a horrible experience for my husband. They are short staff and seem to hire anybody off the streets. They have housekeeping employees taking care of residents. My husband was in the bathroom and pulled the call button for help. Help was outside the building for 20 minutes. There was no one here to help him. He was here for 6 days without a shower. I finally asked for one and they gave him one.
The food is terrible. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for care of your loved ones. I can’t wait to get my husband out of here.
