Holland Clinic is an Albuquerque, New Mexico based medical practice that specializes exclusively in Bariatrics (medical weight control). As medical director and staff physician, I (Mark Holland MD) have practiced bariatric medicine in Albuquerque since 1991 and has treated thousands of patients during that time.

Renewing Patients: former patients to Holland Clinic whose last visit was more than 12 months ago. 90 minute group talk with Dr. Holland and about 5-15 other new patients covering nutrition, exercise, weight loss medications and more. Dr. Holland will only prescribe weight loss medications to patients for whom there are medical reasons to lose weight.
Medical Weight Loss Involves Non-Surgical Medical Care For Obesity and its Complications Including Metabolic Syndrome. The term "medical weight loss" gets tossed around a lot these days yet few people seem to every stop and define it. It's really very simple though. It just means using medicine (as opposed to surgery) to assist patients with weight loss.
Variable fee for prescription weight control medications. The charge for prescription weight control medications is based on the type, dosage and amount of medication ordered for you by doctor Holland. Generally the charge for medications can be as low as $14 per-28 days or as high as $70 per-28 days.
Getting started is easy. There is only one catch: in order for Dr. Holland to treat you with prescription weight loss medications, you have to be overweight enough that your health is at risk. 2: Your BMI lies between 25 and 30 AND you have a weight related health condition like type 2 diabetes, hypertension metabolic syndrome or one of several other diagnoses.
Before we see you in the office, Dr. Holland will have reviewed your submitted medical and weight history. When you arrive at our office you will join with about five to ten other new patients in our group conference room. Dr. Holland and his staff will begin the group session with introductions followed by a roundtable discussion about diet, exercise and medical weight loss techniques.

Dr. Holland saved me. I've been overweight all my life. I tried Keto, exercise, and even tried to get a tummy tuck... but they wouldn't perform the surgery until I weighed 36 lbs less.
November 2020 I weighted 222lbs. I changed my diet and pantry to low fat - stuck by it religiously... October 2021 I am 186 lbs... lost 36 lbs.
I had to stop the medication 6 mo ago - because of decreased effectiveness - but I continued to lose weight from the lifestyle change.
I am renewing my prescription this week and hope to lose another 36 lbs

I have been going to clinic off and on for years the staff has always been friendly and medication does work for weight loss. It is strong but anyone who drinks alot of coffee should be able to handle it (FYI don't drink caffeine products while on this medication).
I would not take medication if I had any heart issues . I feel the medication is healthier then doing extreme surgeries or extreme dieting . The Staff member at Holland Clinic were rude, disrespectful and lack work ethics. They never mail me the information. I had the right to ask if the medication had side-effects, or what kind of medication is it. It looks that their program is the same for everybody (they don't consider we are all different) they wouldn't answer my questions and asked me to leave. The fat-obese guy (Matthew Copus) at the reception was very rude. Everybody is obese at that clinic it gives it a really bad impression at first sight considering it is a weight loss clinic. I have been going to Holland Clinic for a few years now, and I have never felt better. You will see the pounds come off almost immediately. I lost over 50 pounds and my blood pressure is back to normal. I have never had a bad experience at Dr. Holland's office and everyone is extremely friendly. For about $100 month, you will not be disappointed, because you will save most of that if not more in the food you would have eaten anyway. I realize most people don't leave happy reviews and I'm guilty of that. But after trying another weight loss clinic in town and not being happy, I wanted to share that Dr Holland is much better and more afforable. I'm currently a client of Dr. Hollands clinic. He and his staff are very, very nice. You actually get to talk with the dr instead of just working with the medical assistants. They've made every attempt to be thorough and answer any of my questions. So far, I feel very confident that I am in good hands.
