Rye Ballet Conservatory was founded in 1978 by Lynne Stetson, who danced with the New York City Ballet under the direction of George Balanchine. We have taught generations of aspiring dancers to develop a profound love for the art of ballet. Our school is led by a group of passionate teachers whose mission is to bring exceptional classical ballet training in a nurturing environment to Westchester County and Greenwich.
Our curriculum is rooted in the Balanchine technique and has been passed down and honed by each Director of our school. It is born of tradition and refined by experience. Our teachers have deep relationships with the history of American ballet and first-hand experience leading young dancers from the first plie to the professional stage.

Services
Please consider donating to the fund that supports our boys program, particularly if you are financially capable and have a boy who enjoyed the program. We rely on donations to be able to continue to offer tuition-free boys ballet education. We are not a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation is not tax deductible but is immensely helpful and appreciated.
We do not hold classes during the month of July because we encourage our advanced dancers to audition for summer intensive programs around the country. For a complete list of preferred schools, please stop by the office. We accept credit card payments through our secure online system. We partner with The Yorkville Nutcracker choreographed by Francis Patrelle.

Phenomenal classical ballet training by some of the best teachers who value the integrity of both the art form and the students. RBC fosters such an encouraging, healthy, respectful, empowering environment that teaches dancers to excel artistically, musically, and in everyday life.
I spent some of the best times of my life dancing at Rye Ballet Conservatory (RBC) - from elementary school through high school. It's one thing to teach undeniably solid technique (once described as "killer training" by faculty member Christopher Anderson at BBS when I decided to start taking class again as an adult

The Arts Community in Rye and surrounding communities are so fortunate to have an exceptional ballet facility like Rye Ballet Conservatory! RBC instructors are all classically trained and through their love of ballet they inspire students of all ages to appreciate the art and beauty of movement while providing a nurturing environment.

The Rye Ballet has so much character and charm. From their recently added dance studio in the chapel with gorgeous stain glass windows to the teachers, the energy and love for dance is contagious. The second you walk into the chapel studio or talk with any of the teachers and you'll find it hard not to fall in love with ballet. Congrats with everything you've done with the program and wish you continued success!

My daughter has been studying ballet at The Ballet Class in Rye for six years. I looked around at other programs in Westchester and am confident that the level of teaching and encouraging atmosphere this studio delivers is in a class of its own. I studied ballet for many years growing up and understand the importance of proper technique. The teachers at The Ballet Class are particularly good at helping students not only execute beautiful technique, but really understand their bodies in ways that are critical to lifelong health. This is a wonderful, welcoming place to study ballet for children and
