In the early years of Lake Norman, many considered it a lovely site for summer cottages. However, through the years, Lake Norman has been discovered as a wonderful place to live and now is a home for thousands. Lake Norman has 520 miles of shoreline and 33,000 acres of surface area. It was created by Duke Power in 1963 as a source of energy for the piedmont region of North Carolina.
We are a small town in the heart of the beautiful Catawba Valley in the Western Piedmont of North Carolina. The Town of Catawba North Carolina is one of only two municipalities in Catawba County that borders the Catawba River. We are approximately 20 minutes from Hickory, 1 hour from Charlotte, and just over 1 1/2 hours from the mountains.
Established in 1905, the Town of Cornelius North Carolina originated as a mill and farm community. With the closing of the mills, the damming of the Catawba River, the development of I-77 and the growth of the Town as a result of its close proximity to Charlotte, the Town has experienced significant growth in recent years.

Mike Spruell was so helpful and patient with us through a lengthy 2+ year process to find a condo on Lake Norman. Mike was very professional, knowledgeable, and always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. He kept us well informed on new and updated listings! He always made himself available to set up appointments and show us condos. We could not have asked for a more attentive, patient, honest, kind,
