From our signature Ribz, pulled/chopped pork, smoked chicken and beef brisket, to our classic collard greens & cabbage, smoked baked beans and granny's mac n cheese. You can spot Rack City Ribz by looking for our custom wrapped, state of the art, BBQ food trailer. Our food trailer is equipped with two all wood/charcoal smokers, and a full kitchen. Our trailer allows us to smoke all of our meats and prepare delicious Soul Food on site. Come and check us out and taste the difference of what true slow smoked, barbecue and Homemade Soul Food is all about.

First time trying Rack City after seeing numerous reviews over the years. My wife had pulled chicken and cornbread casserole. I had the ribs/Mac and cheese / collard greens!
Hands down one of the best bbq joints I've ever had.. the ribs were tender and flavorful with the right amount of smoke flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy and had so much flavor... then let's talk about the collard greens.. hands down the best greens I've ever eaten... the cornbread casserole was a very nice treat and the chicken was perfectly cooked... will definitely visit this truck any time I see it or

My first time visiting and they did not disappoint. I met the owner and staff, and everyone was very polite and professional. The meats had that smoke flavor, which is so good, and the sides,, speechless!! Highly recommend the meat mayhem if you have 2 or more folks to feed. They also have specials, and the day I went it was the BBQ meat tacos. Great concept and something different. If you’re in the Gibsonton area, this place is a MUST to try!!

We just had our first visit and wow it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the ribs. Big ribs with plenty of meat on the bone (no skimpy ribs here). The brisket was so flavorful and it just melted in… your mouth. The guy working the window gave us a sample of all the sauces they had to try. They were all tasty but the meat was amazing w/o it. Overall a great experience and I will be back 🙂 ***couldn’t wait to dive in so no pics***

I have tried several other bbq places in the area none of which I will be going back to. But I will be returning here! The brisket was hands down the best. Tender and juicy with a nice but not overwhelming smoke flavor. The amount of meat was enough to make at least 2 generous sized sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable. If you want great brisket this is the place to go.

Stopped on the way home from the woods today. 1/2 lb of sausage, 1/2 rack of ribs, 1/2 chicken, smoked brisket, pulled pork. Doubled up on smoked greens & a must buy, cornbread casserole. Still warm when we got home in St. Pete. Best darn bbq you'll ever taste. Worth it for us to drive 1 1/2 hrs round trip from St Pete for their food. Go get some.

I stopped at this location on a whim on a rainy day with my son on Thursday evening. Read the reviews and they are without fail accurate! Staff was super friendly and explained the menu as I Ordered 3 dinners! I might have to return sooner than expected… especially since they aren’t open every day! First time my girlfriend and I tried their food and everything was AMAZING. We ordered ribs, brisket, coleslaw, cornbread and peach cobbler. The meat was extremely tender and the brisket was juicy! The sides were amazing and everything was great even after reheating! Definitely will be back and wouldn't hesitate to try anything on their menu!

My husband and I ordered ribs and pulled pork, with baked beans and cornbread casserole. The meat was smoked to perfection, very tender and flavorful. The cornbread casserole and beans were the best. Definitely want to stop again and try the smoked sausage. And the prices were more reasonable than we were expecting. Nice group of guys, we would highly recommend anyone to stop in and try them out.

After driving by a number of food trucks we decided for lunch on Saturday we'd give one of them a try, and ended up going to Rack City.
Because it is on the side of a fast and busy highway it can be easy to miss, so just keep your eyes peeled and slow down as to not cause any accidents when turning in. There's no parking lot specifically for this truck, so you're just using the trailer supply or bait/tire shop lots. However this also means that parking isn't always available; e.g. there were cars waiting for spots while we were waiting on our food (more on the wait in a bit).

(7/19/20 visit) Got the chicken dinner w/ cornbread casserole + mac n cheese. Chicken was savory, well seasoned and the bbq complemented it well. The mac n cheese was perfectly cheesy and seasoned great as well. The cornbread casserole was slightly sweet, but overall good. No complaints. Friendly service. Will be back to try other menu items.
